Motorcycle Air Filter

Approximate Price of Motorcycle Air Filters

Motorcycle engines need clean air to run efficiently. The air filter therefore plays a major role by filtering out the contaminants regarding dust, dirt and debris as the air is sucked into the engine. Without it, the contaminants would cause incomplete combustion, increased fuel consumption and a smoky exhaust system. The pollutants would cause friction in key components like the engine pistons and the walls of the cylinders, leading to expensive motor repairs. Air filters are actually a layer or multiple layers of filtrates to filter the air off particulate matter and pollutants at various levels. But at some point even the best oil filter reaches the limit of its capacity. So you should change the filter each time you do an oil change. Here the list and price of oil filters available for particular bike in Bangladesh –

The air filter prevents the dust from entering into the combustion chamber of an engine. That is the main function. The secondary function would be regarding the smoothness of the engine and the sound. Air filters are fitted toward the outer opening of the carburetor that is usually placed under the seat in bikes. When you start your bike , your engine inhales the air to make compression. That air is inhaled from the loop where air filter is fitted. When engine starts to inhale air, then all dust particles and pollutants attracts with it. Then air filter cleanses the air that being inhaled and stops the dust particles out. That’s why filters are choked around every 10,000 kms and needed to be changed occasionally to properly provide clean air to engine.
