TVS Apache RTR 150 Review
TVS is one of the most popular Indian brand motorcycle manufacturing company which used to launch their products in Bangladesh through the distributors. Like Bajaj, Yamaha and Honda, TVS is also one of the most popular brand in Bangladesh and due to the reasonable price, the products of TVS has become the main competitor of Bajaj which is the largest motorcycle manufacturing company in India.
If we consider the available products of TVS in our country, Apache RTR 150 is the top bike in the company. Due to the cc limits, TVS can not launch the high displacement product in Bangladesh though, in India, RTR is also the top product where 200 cc of this machine is available.
However, today we talk about RTR 150 which is regarded as the speed machine in our country and within the same price range, it is nearly an impossible matter to beat this bike. RTR 150 is compared with Bajaj Pulsar 150 though RTR is far better than Pulsar from where we look. It’s amazing sports looks along with more speed quality can make the main difference with the rest same segment motorcycles.
However, after the version of 2015 RTR, at the end of 2016, TVS launched a latest version of RTR 150 along with two different colors which are called Matte edition. The configurations are completely same including the looks but due to amazing color combinations, Matte editions are seems more sporty than olders. Dimensions & seating position: To provide better controlling, TVS has ensured the better dimension of their top product RTR 150. The length of RTR 150 is 2035 mm, width 730 mm and height is 1105 mm. Due to be the combinations of standard and sports category, it’s seating position can causes back pain to the riders. Besides, it’s fuel tank is completely sporty looks which has aggressive side kit on the both side of the tank. The tank is quite bigger which can contains almost 16 litres of fuel. However, the seating position is seems comfortable which can provide enough space to a single pillion. Suspension & Brakes: Suspensions of Apache RTR 150 is well developed than before. Telescopic fork suspension is used for the front wheel and for the rear wheel, twin shocks suspension is used which is also called Monotube Inverted Gas – filled shox (MIG) with spring aid. The suspensions are too good which would provide better comfort on long ride and different types of roads and situations. However, the braking system is updated with front disc brake and rear drum brake. Though, according to the news, the riders have complained about the braking system of RTR. But analyzing the complain, to get better brake, a rider needs to maintain the tyre pressure of the bike. But we must admit that it is a powerful bike which needs to be handled by experts riders. When you release the clutch, the bike wants to jump and so, you need to be more careful to handle the beast. Besides, the front tyre of the bike could skid by holding the hydraulic brake if the tyre pressure is higher. Mileage & Top Speed: Young generations of Bangladesh used to find better mileage along with great speed within a motorcycle and both are very important. Apache RTR 150 can meet the both demands of the young generations and so, it is getting popular everyday. According to the many users of this machine, RTR 150 can provide more than 45 km mileage average which is very suitable for a sports category motorcycle. Besides, it’s mileage on highway can cross 50 km which can beats any 150 cc sports category bikes in Bangladesh. However, though, it is a fuel efficient motorcycle but it’s top speed can easily cross 130 km per hour and some users have claimed that they crossed 135 km per hour top speed with the Matte edition of RTR 150. According to the some websites, the top speed is claimed to 140 km per hour also.
Instrument Panel & Features: Latest and premium quality electrical technology is used for Apache RTR 150. The battery of the bike consists of 12V and 9Ah maintenance free. However, the instrument console of the bike is almost digital which consists of digital speedometer, digital trip meter, digital odometer, digital clock and digital fuel gauge. The only analog thins is tachometer. There is also engine kill switch, low battery indicator, pass light and some other features are added.
Colors & Price: The bike is available with three different prices which depends on braking system. Single disc brake RTR 150 is available with BDT 1,79,500 where double disc brake RTR 150 is available with BDT 1,98,500. But the Matte edition of Apache RTR 150 is currently available with BDT 1,84,500. There are four colors of the bike are currently available in Bangladesh which are Red, Black, Blue and White. Besides, Matte edition is available with three different colors like Matte Blue, Matte Black and Matte Red.
