Bangladesh Honda Private Ltd continues to give surprises to the bikers. In the last month, they were launched CB XBlade 160 with a minimum price tag. This bike was top of the topic at the end of the last year. And now in the early in the new year, they launched CB Hornet 160R Deluxe in the Bangladeshi market. The price tag of this bike is 255,000 BDT and will available in the Honda dealer point from 9th January.
Many people can think that the price tag for this bike is too high. There is no EFI engine, then why is the price is so high? Well, BHL gives an answer to this question. Previous versions of CB Hornet were manufactured in Bangladesh. So the tax rate was low. But this new version of CB Hornet is directly imported from India with CBU. So the tax rate becomes high and that’s why the price goes up compared to double disc type which is locally manufactured.
Most of the leading motorcycle companies in Bangladesh are launching their ABS version bikes. In this race, Honda just put their name on it. This new edition not only just equipped with ABS but also have some newly added features on it. Those are,
Viscous air filter
Blue backlight speedometer
Newly designed graphics.
Standard single-channel ABS
Though the bike equipped with the same 162.71cc displacement engine, But the engine now has an Emission Standard of BS-IV and produces less power than the previous version. Now the engine can churn out 14.9 bhp maximum power at 8500 rpm and 14.5 bhp maximum power at 6500 rpm. Honda said they will start to manufacture this bike locally in a very short time and then the price would also get reduced.
