Hero Hunk 150 Review
Hero is regarded as one of the top class two wheelers brand in India which used to release their product in all over Indian subcontinent including Bangladesh. At the beginning, Hero and Honda companies worked together and released jointly product in the name of Hero Honda but later Hero was separated from Honda and released Hero Hunk in 2013.
Hero Hunk is the top product of Hero Moto Corp which is also the most sporty looks standard bike especially made for young generations. The new generations of Bangladesh are very fond of this motorcycle which is also compatible with different aged people.
However, though it is very good quality commuter sports bike but in Bangladesh, the sells of this machine is less than expected. So, it can be removed from the market if the company would plan to bring new 150 cc bike. Besides, it’s most rivals are Apache RTR 150, Pulsar 150 DTsi, Honda CB Trigger 150, Hero Xtreme Sports 150 which are also available in market and to compete with them, Hero Hunk can not make any better position. But still it’s market is high enough and customers would like to buy it for better engine power and most reliable brand. Here we present below the complete details of Hero Hunk 150.
Design & looks: Hero Hunk is a lovable bike at the first sight which is also well structured. The bike seems pretty bigger than rest available bike or we can say that the seating position is a bit long. Fuel tank can contains almost 12.4 litres which provides you less trouble in long run and you need not visit pump within short time. Besides, it’s design can give sports feelings to the riders and due to the fuel tank kit, it can cross wind well and riders would not face any kind of vibration during high speed.
Engine performance: Hero Hunk has possessed air cooled type engine which is four stroke and single cylinder which can unleash max power 10.6 kW @ 8500 rpm along with max torque 12.80 @ 6500 rpm. Due to powerful engine and better acceleration, it can make 0 – 60 km per hour speed in just 5 seconds. Besides, the CV type CCVI carburetor is used for this machine. Both electric and kick starting facility is also included. AMI type ignition system is one of the advance technology of Hero Hunk.
Dimensions & seating position: According to the users, almost three men can easily ride on Hero Hunk due to better seating position where the dimension of the bike is (2080 * 765 * 1095) mm. Besides, the ground clearance is 145 mm which is a bit less than rest bikes but enough to cross speed breakers on road. Total weight of the bike is 146 kg which seems heavier than looks but it helps riders to make steady during top speed.
Suspension & Brakes: Suspensions of Hero Hunk are more advance than regular commuter motorcycles where the front suspension is telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers and the rear suspension is rectangular Swing Arm with five step adjustable inverted gas reservoir. The suspensions are well enough to provide comfort even in maximum load. Besides, there are two disc brakes are used for the front and rear wheel of Hero Hunk. Though, rear drum brake is also available in the market which price is few lower than dual hydraulic disc brakes. For amateur riders, they should use single disc brak version and dual hydraulic version would be better for expert riders.
Mileage: The mileage of the bike is in minimum level which can provide almost 45 km mileage average and it would reach to 50 km on highway but reduce to 40 km on city road.
Instrument Panel & Features: Advanced technology has used for the latest version of Hero Hunk where the instrument console is almost digital. There are digital speedometer, odometer and clock are available but fuel gauge and tachometer are analog designed.
Colors & Price: Currently five colors of Hero Hunk is available in Bangladesh which are Blazing Red, Matte Black, Ebony Grey, Bold Brown and White. However, there are two versions of this bike is available where one is double disc which price is BDT 167,400 and single disc price BDT 1,64,400.
