Honda Dream 110 Feature Review
Honda is one of the market leaders in the motorcycle industry. This Japanese giant motorcycle brand ruled this industry for many years. Not only for the engine quality, but they are also famous for their bike’s build quality, durability, and design. Their high segments of motorcycles are highly popular all over the world. Their most popular higher-segment bike series is CBR. They have 125 to 1000 cc segments CBR bikes. But they also manufacture commuter segments bike and they are also famous for this.
Bangladesh Honda Private Ltd started to manufacture motorcycles in Bangladesh. Honda Dream 110 is the first motorcycle which builds with a category 2 localization process. That means not only just painting and welding, but they also build the body frame and chassis in their assembling factory in Bangladesh. They have also assembled the engine of this bike in Bangladesh. For that, the Tax rate is reduced to 49% from 57% for them. The bike comes in the market with attractive color options, a new grab rail, alloy wheel, tubeless tyres, long & comfortable seat, seal chain & maintenance-free battery.
Design & looks: Honda Dream 110 is a commuter segment motorcycle and for that, you won’t see much work in its design and graphics. But Honda tried to give it a decent look. The fuel tank, side panels, and rear panels got some cosmetic makeovers. The whole motorcycle is black and colored with a red and white finish. The headlight is equipped with a halogen bulb set up and the design looks similar to Honda Dream Neo. They also gave a chromium muffler in the exhaust to enhance its look. There is also a side reflector at the front fender to notice.
Engine performance: Commuter motorcycles are not meant to be performance orient but economical. Honda assembles this bike’s engine in their Bangladeshi manufacturing and assembling factory. This bike gets a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, SI, BS-IV engine that can produce 8.2 Bhp maximum power at 7500 rpm and 9.1 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. This is the same engine configuration Honda used in Dream Neo and Livo and this power is enough for a 110cc commuter motorcycle. It also has a 4-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch for better transmission.
Dimensions & seating position: Basically Honda made this bike for daily commuter use and mainly for the people who live in rural areas of Bangladesh. Honda gave comfortable riding and seating position, large pillion grabrail, one-piece up-right handlebar in this motorcycle for better commuting. 775mm seat height is quite comfortable to ride for any heighted rider. The overall length of this bike is 2020 mm, width 737 mm, height 1061 mm, standard ground clearance 180mm and the kerb weight is 107 Kg. This bike can contain 8 liters of fuel.
Suspension & Brakes: Honda installed a Telescopic fork suspension in the front wheel and a 5-step adjustable dual-shock suspension in the rear wheel. This suspension setting is preferable for the road condition of our country. Riders can also carry luggage easily for the twin-shock absorber and large pillion grabrail. Honda used 130mm drum brakes in both wheels. They might use a disc brake in the front wheel for better braking performance. There will be no CBS braking system in this bike.
Mileage: The Japanese brand Honda is well known for its fuel-economic motorcycles. Honda claims that this motorcycle can provide up to 74 km/l mileage. But mileage depends on the riding quality of a rider. But we hope this bike would provide 65 km/l average mileage in any road condition.
Instrument Panel & Features: The instrument panel of this bike is fully analog and is divided into two parts. The left part contains the speedometer and trip meter. The right side of this panel gets only a fuel gauge.
Colors & Price: There are three different color shades of this bike available on the market. These are Red, Black, and Blue. Honda estimated the market price of this bike is 107,000 BDT only. That is one of the cheapest 110cc commuter motorcycles in Bangladesh.
