Lifan is a Chinese renowned company and their products are available in Bangladesh. They used to produce two, three and four wheelers drive in China and import them into different countries in the world. In Bangladesh, four wheelers of Lifan is not available but two wheelers are regarded as one of the popular Chinese brands products nowadays. Russell Industries is the current distributor of Lifan in Bangladesh. Though, the products of Lifan are available in Bangladesh since long but back then, it was not so famous brand. Russell Industries has played the most important role to make it famous in Bangladesh and they ranked Lifan KPR 150 first just couple of years ago. Since then, people of the country started to learn about Lifan.

Later, Lifan has brought some new and attractive models which are available in the showrooms of Bangladesh. One of the m is Lifan Pony 100 which is almost a latest addition of Lifan. Sometimes, it is regarded as the dirt bike but actually it is a mini standard bike. The bike is small consists of advance and standard features. Though, mini standard bikes are not so popular in Bangladesh but also some short people or amateur riders would like to buy mini standard bike and so, couple of companies have imported that kind of mini standard bike in Bangladesh. But, rest mini bikes price are much higher than Lifan and so, they have a positive and great chance to dominate the market with this sector.

Design & looks: Design of Lifan Pony 100 is very simple. So, it can be described as standard bike. It’s fuel tank and seating position are almost plain and there are wide tyres are attached. There is long silencer pipe is attached and the headlamp is almost round along with the round mirror. The wheel’s diameter is small but alloy. There are no engine or mudguard are added to the bike.

Engine performance: Lifan Pony is a 100 cc mini standard bike which consists of 99.3 cc actual displacement. Max power is 7.78 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and max torque is 7.3 Nm @ 6000 rpm. The torque and power and compatible and so, it is claimed a good top speed of 85 km per hour. The engine type is air cooled vertical which is obviously four stroke. Self and Kick starter both are added to the bike.

Dimensions & seating position: Lifan Pony is a mini bike which is 1690 mm long, 770 mm width and 980 mm high. So, it is proved mini standard bike no doubt. The bike is perfect for just one person but two slim people can travel with the machine as well. It’s kerb weight is just 94 kg with 5.5 litres fuel tank capacity. Wheelbase is 1200 mm which is compatible for mini bike. However, the bike is pretty suitable for short height people.

Suspension & Brakes: Like the rest available mini standard bike, Lifan has used mono suspension for the rear wheel of Pony 100 and front suspension are same as standard bike which is telescopic. However, the company has used both hydraulic disc brakes for front and rear wheel of the bike.

Mileage: Reported average mileage of the bike is 50 km which should be improved a little. This mileage is appropriate for combined ride means both city and highway. Generally,due to traffic jam, on city, mileage of bikes would get reduce but on highway, the mileage would be increased.

Instrument Panel & Features: The front panel of Lifan Pony 100 consists of analog tachometer and digital speedometer. In the speedometer, there are clock, gear display, odometer, fuel gauge are also located. Besides, handlebar of the bike is also rich with engine kill switch, headlamp and tail lamp switch.

Colors & Price: Lifan Pony 100 is available with Black, White and Gold color in Bangladesh. The price has kept within limits which is BDT 114,000.
