TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Review
TVS is very renowned Indian brand which started their journey in Bangladesh since long. Basically TVS has become so popular here in the country due to their one top product Apache RTR 150. Is is one of the most selling bike in Bangladesh and still very much demanded no doubt. Though, in recent time being the new TVS Apache RTR 160 has launched in Bangladesh few days ago but rest features of the bike remains same like older version of RTR 150 considering looks, colors and features.
But today we would like to talk about their all new Apache RTR 160 4V which has just launched in India. Hopefully within very short period it will be available in Bangladesh.
Basically TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has come with all new features along with new body design. It is much more aggressive than the older version of RTR. In Bangladesh, the most rivals of RTR 160 is Pulsar 150 DTSi, Hero Hunk, CB Trigger 150 and Hero Xtreme Sports. But considering looks, speed, mileage and quick acceleration, no bike can beat RTR and which is why it has still dominated the market in the segment. But now in the recent time when government has approved 165 cc bikes in Bangladesh, there are two bikes Pulsar NS 160 and Honda CB Hornet 160R have launched in Bangladesh and to compete with them RTR is fallen behind considering the looks a little bit. So, TVS is planning to launch all new RTR 160 4V in Bangladesh which design is inspired from RTR 200 4V. But there are some differences between the bike located.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V would be available in Bangladesh with three different versions. They are TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Carb – Front Disc, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Carb – Front and Rear Disc and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V EFI Front and Rear Disc. Considering the versions the price will be a little different. Let’s see the bike’s full specification review below.
Design & looks: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is full of amazing looking sports bike. It is a naked sports bike which has muscular and fully aggressive and unique seating position. The seat is not splitted but pretty sporty. It has amazing looking exhaust with rear tyre guard added. There are also sharee guard attached for female pillion. The engine guard is aggressive just like older version of RTR 160. The handlebar is completely sporty which will give you that feeling. From the front end, the bike looks gorgeous and it has has pretty unique and quite aggressive looking headlamp. Overall, considering the looks, the bike would beat the older version of RTR 160 no doubt.
Engine performance: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has powerful and reliable engine technology which is powered by 159.7 cc engine. It consists of carburettor fuel delivery with the option of fuel injection technology. The bike has one cylinder and four stroke technology added that can generate 16.28 Bhp max power in 8000 rpm and 14.8 NM max torque in 6500 rpm. However, there is oil cooling system added with ram air assist. It has both self and kick starting system added. The bike RTR 160 4V has upgrade quality quick acceleration that will prove it’s instant speed. It’s top speed will be more than 140 kmph reportedly.
Dimensions & seating position: The bike TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is well measured bike which has 2050 mm length, 790 mm width and 1050 mm height. However, the seat height is 800 mm which has bigger ground clearance which is 180 mm. The wheelbase is also bigger which is 1357 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 12 litres. The kerb weight of the bike is 143 kg which is completely bearable. The bike has single piece seating position which is not splitted like it’s elder brother RTR 200 4V. So, it is quite comfortable but suitable for just one pillion.
Suspension & Brakes: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has completely updated suspension and braking system added. There are front telescopic forks suspension added and rear suspension is monoshox. Earlier, in the older version of RTR 160 was used twin shock rear suspensions but now, it has been updated in the new version. Besides, it has front 270 mm hydraulic disc brake added but the rear brake is 130 mm drum. Besides, there are two more versions of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V are available where both hydraulic disc brakes are used. All would be available in Bangladesh hopefully.
Mileage: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V just launched in India and yet to launch in Bangladesh. So, we yet to know the accurate mileage of the bike. But, the bike has fully updated considering it’s configuration. So, the mileage of the bike would no less than 45 km average. It would be updated soon here.
Instrument Panel & Features: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has fully digital interactive speedometer attached. It has also digital tachometer, gear indicator, fuel warning indicator, fuel gauge, low battery indicator, engine kill switch, trip meter, odometer and pass light switch attached.
Colors & Price: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is current available in three different colors in India. They are Red, Black, and Blue. All of them would be available in Bangladesh hopefully. Besides, we yet to know it’s price range but considering the features and rest same segment bikes, price would be around BDT 2,00,000 in Bangladesh.

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is very attractive looking sports bike which is pretty comfortable as we speak. The best things that will become very popular in RTR is it’s aggressive looks which can kill a young rider anytime. Besides, it has extraordinary quick acceleration and so, speed would be great. The customer service of the bike will be amazing because it is an Indian brand product and their showrooms are available throughout in Bangladesh. Besides, it’s parts will be available as well. Due to bigger disc brake and rear hydraulic drum brake, controlling would be much better than older version of RTR. If there is ABS, it will be more appreciated. Besides, the bike is also much reliable in Bangladesh and mileage would be very good hopefully.
