Yamaha R15 V4 Overall Review
Yamaha has been doing their business here in Bangladesh for a long time. Yamaha produces bikes of each segment. Yamaha launched R15 first in Bangladesh in 2008 which was version one. After that V2 and V3 were launched. Over time the demands of riders changes, keeping that in mind Yamaha has launched the updated version of R15 which is the fourth-gen of R15 in India. Hopefully, we will get a chance to buy the new R15 V4 soon enough.
Yamaha has a huge collection of higher-configuration bikes. But due to the cc limit in Bangladesh, Bikes above 150cc will not be permitted on the road. The new R15 V4 comes with a 155 CC LC4V SOHC FI VVA engine with a Traction Control System and a Quick Shifter. See the detailed information below before you buy it.
Design & looks: The all-new R15 V4 offers a new aerodynamic body design for better airflow management so that the rider can reach the top speed faster and helps to maintain stability when you are on a high-speed chase. It also shares the same DNA with super sports YZF R1. The V3 had a dual-LED headlamp set-up but the V4 has upgraded to a single LED projector headlight that is flanked by LED DRLs.
Engine performance: The all new R15 V4 is equipped with a powerful liquid-cooled single overhead camshaft fuel injection engine that produces a maximum horsepower of 13.5kW(18.4PS)/10000r/min and maximum torque of 14.2N.m (1.4kgf.m) / 7500r/min. With that power, it can reach up to 145 kmph top speed and the constant-mesh, 6-speed gearbox is equipped with the engine for better transmission. The A&S clutch makes for smooth, enjoyable downshifts. with the high-performance VVA system that provides torque for ease of use even at low RPM, you will never feel any downfall in speed.
Dimensions & seating position: There are no major changes in its dimension. It also offers the same dimensions. The overall height of this bike is 1135 mm, width 725 mm and length is 1990 mm. Yamaha has installed MRF/NYLOGRIP ZAPPER-FX1 100/80-17M/C 52P (Tubeless) for the front and MRF/NYLOGRIP ZAPPER-S 140/70-17M/C 66H (Radial Tubeless) for the rear.
Suspension & Brakes: The R15 V4 employs an upside-down front suspension fork with 37 mm inner tubes which will provide you sporty handling on twisty roads with ease and Linked-Type Monocross Suspension for the rear. This setup will provide you stability while taking high-speed turns or during high braking input.
Mileage: The R15 V4 will provide 40 kmpl in city ride and 45 kmpl on highway. The average mileage will be 42 kmpl on both city and highway combined.
Instrument Panel & Features: The speedometer, trip meter, odometer, tachometer are fully digital. Other features like dual horn and aluminum swingarm are there. The V4 also has a mobile charger.
Colors & Price: The new R15 V4 comes in 3 color variants. The current price starting from is 595,000BDT in Bangladesh.

I like R15 V4 because of better built quality comparing the previous R15 V3. Seating position is too much comfortable like CBR. Full design is very sharp and lucrative. Quick shifter and traction control is an awesome feature. Though the top speed is reduced because of Bharat Stage approval issues. But as a 155cc sports bike, so far it is enough for me.
