Yamaha Xabre 150 Feature Review

Yamaha is one of the three biggest motorcycle manufacturing company in the world and since the beginning, they used to export motorcycles to different countries. Bangladesh is one of them where the demand of Yamaha motorcycle is higher than any brand. According to the demand, it’s price is also higher and most of the people of Bangladesh have a dream to buy Yamaha but due to it’s higher price tag, they are forced to change their first choice. Now, Yamaha is going to launch another big budget motorcycle in Bangladesh named Yamaha Xabre which is almost alike as M – Slaz. M – Slaz is the Thailand edition of Yamaha where Xabre is the Indonesian edition. Most features of this two bikes are same only but few would be changed. M – Slaz is currently available in Bangladeshi market which price is almost BDT 4,45,000 but the price of Xabre 150 is yet to be disclosed. Xabre 150 would be the most powerful and highly figured naked edition sports bike in Bangladesh in near future and would be competitor of M – Slaz, CBR 150R Streetfire and upcoming Suzuki GSX S150.

Design & looks: Considering the outlook of Xabre 150, it’s completely similar with M – Slaz. It is a sports category bike and would be the most expensive in naked edition category as well in Bangladesh. It’s fuel tank is a little similar with Suzuki but contains only few litres of fuel. Tank is designed with muscular naked which is very much amazing. Besides, attractive color combination gives very sporty outlook.

Engine performance: Engine of motorcycle is one of the most precious things which can be regarded as the heart of bike. In that case, Yamaha team is trying to give their best shot in Xabre 150 which consists of single cylinder, four stroke, SOHC, 4 valve 149 cc engine. It’s BHP is higher than most of the 150 cc bikes in Bangladesh which can produce maximum 16.09 BHP power and 14.3 NM torque. Excluding this features, the motorcycle contains of some other attractive features like TCI ignition system, fuel injection, NGK CR9E spark plug. Six speed gearbox makes the top speed higher. SO, the respective riders need not worry about this powerful engine.

Dimensions & seating position: Dimension of a motorcycle is very important to control it well and in that case, Xabre 150 is almost impressive. It’s length, width and height is (1959 * 795 * 1065) mm which is almost same as M – Slaz. It’s ground clearance is 164 mm and wheelbase is 1350 mm which gives it complete sports looks. The net weight of this bike is just 135 kg which is pretty lighter than rest 150 cc bikes and easy to control. Due to advance kit and well designed, in top speed, it would not vibrate a little. Though, fuel tank is seems bigger but contains only 10.2 litres. Xabre would be perfect for just the rider but rider can take just one pillion highest with him to ride it due to it’s sporty seating system.

Suspension & Brakes: The suspensions and brakes are also very well made of this motorcycle. The front suspension is 37 mm Upside Down (USD) telescopic forks and the rear suspension is Swing Arm (shock absorber). This suspensions are very upgraded and it can provide comfortable to the riders in different types of roads. Besides, the both brakes of this bike is disc. In front 267mm hydraulic single disc and in rear, 220mm hydraulic single disc are used. However, most secured braking system ABS technology is used in this bike.

Mileage: Though, it yet to be revealed in market but considering M – Slaz, Xabre would give almost 40 km mileage average which would up to 45 on highway and reduced to 35 km on city road.

Instrument Panel & Features: Most advanced electrical technology are used for Xabre 150 where it’s instrument panel is completely digital with digital speedometer, digital tachometer etc. Besides, it has trip meter, odometer, digital clock, fuel gauge, low battery indicator all are digital. However, headlight is full LED with LED tail light cluster.

Colors & Price: The price of Yamaha Xabre 150 is 420,000 BDT. Total three colors would be available in market at the same time which are Gunmetal Katana, Black Dagger and Silver.
