Honda is the leading motorcycle manufacturer company in Bangladesh among the Japanese brands. They are the first foreign company to manufacture two-wheelers in Bangladesh. Previously they were started to assemble motorcycles, but now now they started to manufacture bike parts and even engine in their factory at Munshiganj. Along with the premium naked and full-faired bikes, now they are trying to capture the commuter segment market as well. And for that, they have battle with the Indian companies whose are already took the commuter market in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Honda Private Ltd recently launched their first manufacturing product in Bangladesh Honda Dream 110. They made all the parts like body frame, Swingarm, Suspension settings in Bangladesh even they assemble the engine of this bike in Bangladesh. In 110cc segment, they had dream neo before and it was a successful product of them. But with Dream 110, they will capture this segment largely not only for the performance and durability of this bike but for the price range. Honda gave shock everyone with the price of this bike and it only cost 89,900 BDT. Due to manufacturing, the TAX rate reduced 57% to 49% and that’s the main reason for this amazing price.
Honda mainly made this motorcycle for regular commuter using and also the though of our people. The average height of the people in our country is 5’5″ and Honda tried to make a suitable and comfortable motorcycle for every rider. As we said, Honda also assemble the engine of this bike in Bangladesh. So the time will tell us the actual performance of this bike. This excellent commuter is going to be the main competitor of Suzuki Hayate, Bajaj Discover 110, TVS Radeon 110 and Hero Splendor.
This commuter motorcycle featured with a Air-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-valve, SI, BS-IV, 110cc engine that can produce 8.2 Bhp maximum power at 7500 rpm and 9.1 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. This is the same engine configuration Honda used in Dream Neo and Livo and this power is enough for a 110cc commuter motorcycle. It also have a 4-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch for better transmission. Honda claims that this machine can deliver 70+ mileage in any road condition. Honda gave comfortable riding and seating position, large pillion grabrail, one piece up-right handlebar in this motorcycle for better commuting. 775mm seat height is quite comfortable to ride for any heighted rider. The overall length of this bike is 2020 mm, width 737 mm, height 1061 mm, standard ground clearance 180mm and the kerb weight is 107 Kg. This bike can contain 8 litters of fuel. This commuter available with three different color shade. These are Red, Blue and Black.
The price range of this bike really amaze us and we think it also amaze the other bikers. Hope other motorcycle manufacturer will manufacture their motorcycle in Bangladesh like Honda and people will have their desired motorcycle in their budget.
