KTM (Kronreif & Trunkenpolz Mattighofen) was first form in 1934 in Austria and their headquarter is at Mattighofen, Upper Austria. But in 1992, this company got separated from its parent company KTM AG. This company is now owned by Pierer Mobility AG and Indian manufacturer Bajaj Auto. Bajaj already started the manufacturing of KTM motorcycles in India to reduce the price for the Asia zone. We all thought KTM is popular for their sports motorcycles, but this isn’t true. KTM is basically famous for their off-road motorcycles (enduro, motocross and supermoto). Since 2012, KTM has been the largest motorcycle manufacturer in Europe for four consecutive years and it also one of the leading off-road manufacturer in the world.
We often heard some gossip about launching KTM bikes in Bangladesh. But didn’t know which company going to brought this racing beauty. Finally, Runner Automobiles ltd reveals that they are gonna launch KTM motorcycles in Bangladesh. In fact, they are gonna arrange the launching event very soon. Till now we have the limit of 165 and for that, KTM Duke 125 and KTM RC 125 would be their trump card. KTM Duke 125 will launch with two versions, one will be Indian edition which manufactured in India by Bajaj and another one will be European edition. But the RC 125 will only available with Indian Edition.
KTM Duke 125:
KTM Duke 125 considered as the most powerful naked motorcycle in 125cc entry level segment. This bike has a huge fame for its color combination, performance and engineering. It also borrows some features like headlight, instrument cluster, switching option, Wheels and tyres from its bigger edition KTM Duke 200. There are also some changes between the European version and Indian version. The European version has LED headlight unit, TFT instrument panel and regular exhaust set-up. But the Indian version have halogen headlight, digital dashboard and underbelly exhaust to reduce the price range. Apart from these, there is no change in engine displacement and performance. Both of the bikes get a four-valve, 1-cylinder 4-stroke engine, water-cooled, 124.7cc engine that can produce 15 Bhp maximum power at 9500 rpm and 11.8 Nm of torque at 8000 rpm.
KTM RC 125:
KTM RC 125 is one of the beloved and lowest segment full-faired sports motorcycle from the Austrian brand. This motorcycle also sources some features like trellis frame, instrument console, wheels and tyres. The most attractive part of this motorcycle is its impressive Orange and Black combination paint scheme. This little RC also gets USD front forks, all-digital console, projector headlights, and finest available side fairing which makes this bike a showstopper. KTM also offered a single channel ABS system with 300mm disc in the front and 230 mm disc brake in the rear wheel as standard. Its powertrain is similar to its naked version Duke 125. This two-wheeler equipped with a four-valve, 1-cylinder 4-stroke engine, water-cooled, 124.7cc engine that can produce 14.8 Bhp maximum power at 9500 rpm and 11.8 Nm of torque at 8000 rpm.
