After a couple of years, ACI motors Ltd finally launching a new motorcycle in Bangladesh named Yamaha XSR 155. The last motorcycle was introduced by Yamaha was FZs V3. They took some time to bring a special product for the Yamaha lovers. The market price of Yamaha XSR 155 would be around 550,000 BDT.
This one is the lowest segment motorcycle from the XSR series which was first introduced in the market in 2016 by launching Yamaha XSR 900. This motorcycle got instant success for its Retro-design and exciting appearance all over the world. On its release, the 2016 XSR900 received journalistic praise and it gained several awards including Cycle World’s, 2016 Best Middleweight Street Bike and G-Mark’s; 2016 Good Design Award.
After 900cc variant, they launched 700cc and after a couple of years they launched the lowest segment of this bike series XSR 155. This motorcycle was launched in August 2019 in Thailand, but it’s yet to launched in India. ACI Motors Ltd the sole distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Bangladesh will launch the Thailand Version and they will also start the pre-booking of this stunning beauty. You will definitely fall in love for the design and appearance of this motorcycle. Yamaha didn’t change the design of this motorcycle from the elder XSR series. This 155cc variant almost looks the same as XSR 900 and XSR 700 apart from the exhaust and engine. The best part about this motorcycle is actually the seat, which is clad in light-colored and grippy upholstery. It gives a nice contrast to the matte silver on the tank. It also gets chromium touched in some body parts like the headlamp, side panel, footrest, and front fender. The muscular looked exhaust is made by carbon fiber which gives this bike a sporty feel.
This motorcycle is also lightweight for its Deltabox chassis and weight of this motorcycle is only 134 kg. Which means you can easily maneuver it in city traffic.
The seating height and the ground clearance of this motorcycle is 810 mm and 170 mm which is pretty similar to its elder XSR sibling. The round Pan-Shape headlight offers full LED set-up and DRLs. The parking light is also enhance its look. Yamaha also used USD front forks and die cast aluminum swingarm to give this bike a premium touch.
As we said, Yamaha used the same engine as R15 V3 and MT-15. The powertrain of this motorcycle comes from a Liquid Cooled, Single cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, SOHC, 155.1 cc engine that can pull out 19.3 Bhp maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm torque at 8500 rpm. Because of this engine performance, you won’t feel powerless no matter where you ride. There is always a high reliability of Yamaha Bluecore engines when it comes mileage. It can provide up to 45 km/l average mileage which is often more than a 150cc commuter bike. They also used the same tyres section like R15 V3 which are 110/70-17 in front and 140/70-17 section in the rear wheel.
