Bajaj Avenger Street 160 ABS Feature Review
Indian biggest motorcycle manufacturing company Bajaj has become a popular brand in Bangladesh within a very short time. The most important reason behind this is people used to buy better quality products at a reasonable price. You can never find any below-average products from Bajaj. Not just for the youth riders, they manufacture motorcycles for all ages. The most important thing is that Bajaj holds the highest market share in Bangladesh which is 25%. Previously, Bajaj had 150cc Avenger Street in Bangladesh. After a huge response to this motorcycle, now they are launching the 160cc new variant of this motorcycle in Bangladesh.
This motorcycle BS6 version was launched in India recently. But the available version of this motorcycle in Bangladesh is equipped with a Carburetor engine. So, this version is definitely the BS4 version. This two-wheeler is basically designed for touring and long rides. But it also can provide comfort and smooth handling in the city ride. So let’s take a look at this bike’s key features.
Design & looks: Cruiser motorcycles are basically designed to provide comfort. A long and bulky fuel tank, large cushioned stare seat, pillion backrest, and front rider foot pegs are the main and traditional design of a cruiser bike, and Avenger Street 160 is not apart from it. This cruiser bike is equipped with a modern and classic mixed design. The headlight and dashboard get the classic design and the fuel tank, side panels, exhaust, and wheel rims get a modern touch. The round classic headlight gets a Halogen bulb with LED DRLs. But the tail light is decorated with LED lights. The well-design carbon exhaust looks stunning with an aluminum muffler. Overall Bajaj didn’t change much of this motorcycle than the 150c variant.
Engine performance: Bajaj improves the engine performance of this bike than the previous version. This new 160cc version is equipped with a single-cylinder, four-stroke, DTS-i, air-cooled engine which can produce 15 PS maximum power at 8500 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The DTS-i engine ensures the improved performance of its engine and also provides better economical mileage. It gets a 5-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch for a better and smooth transmission. According to the engine performance, it can reach 110 to 115 km/h range and it’s quite good enough for a cruiser bike.
Dimensions & seating position: Cruiser motorcycles are meant to be comfortable and also designed for touring. Its flat one-piece handlebar and front foot pegs are super comfortable for the city and long ride. The one-piece long handlebar is slightly banned toward the riders for better control. There are no major changes in its dimension than the 150c variant. The overall length of this bike is 2210 mm, width 806 mm, height 1070 mm, and the ground clearance of this bike is 169 mm. 737 mm seat height will comfortable for all riders. Bajaj used a 90/90-17 section tubeless tyre in the front wheel and a 130/90-15 section tyre in the rear wheel.
Suspension & Brakes: Suspension settings play a vital role in the comfortable ride on a cruiser bike. Bajaj installed a Telescopic with double anti-friction bush suspension in the front wheel and it’s covered with a rubber guard for smooth operation. The rear part gets 5 steps adjustable Twin shock absorber for comfortable touring. The most positive side of this bike is its single-channel ABS in the front wheel with 260 mm disc brake. The rear wheel gets a 130 mm drum brake with an RLP disc.
Mileage: Bajaj motorcycle always provides better economical mileage because of its DTS-i and twin-spark engine. Bajaj claims that street 160 can give 42 km/l mileage on the highway and 37 km/l mileage in the city.
Instrument Panel & Features: The instrument panel is divided into two parts. One is in the front and the other part is mounted at the front of the fuel tank. The main instrument panel is semi-digital. the trip meter and odometer are digital and the tachometer is analog. The fuel gauge is mounted at the front of the fuel tank.
Colors & Price: Avenger Street 160 launched in the market with two different color variants. One is Ebony Black and the other one is Spicy Red. The current market price of this bike is 2,74,000/- BDT.
