Bajaj CT 100 Overall Review
Bajaj CT 100 is one of the most budget-friendly entry-level commuter bike in Bangladesh which is just the extended version of the former Bajaj Boxer. It is one of the few oldest models of a motorcycle in the Bajaj company in Bangladesh after separating from the Japanese Kawasaki company. Due to the most reasonable price, CT 100 dominated the Bangladeshi market once. Though, currently, it’s demand is not so smarter because people want to but the latest models of motorcycles nowadays. But also, people from the outside of the town are currently the main customers of the bike. They want to buy it for light use or wants to show others that they have a motorcycle. Besides, some peoples are buying it due to great need where they can get it within the cheap price and also get heavy mileage from this bike. Besides, it’s maintenance cost is almost lower than most of the available motorcycle in Bangladesh. Due to being the Bajaj company products, it’s parts are also available even in the rural sides of the country and also one of the first released product, it can provide long service to the customers without any major problems.
So, though many latest models of motorcycles are currently available in the market it does not mean that CT 100 is losing their dominance. Still now, among 100 cc bikes in Bangladesh, it is one of the most reasonable price motorcycles along with the powerful engine. So, before making any final comment, let’s find out below about the positive and negative sides of the bike below.
Design & looks: Due to being the old model bike, Bajaj CT 100 is a bit old looks motorcycle with a simple category fuel tank. Though, it completely familiar with standard category bikes. It would not be the first choice of the young generation but for bit older people those who have a small budget for a motorcycle can easily buy this.
Engine performance: The engine of the bike almost meets all the demands of the standard category which has 99.27 ccs that can generate 8.1 Bhp @ 7500 rpm maximum power along with 8.05 @ 4500 rpm maximum torque. Besides, the bike consists of a natural air cooling system with a single-cylinder, four-stroke engine technology. The digital CDI ignition system proves the bike as a standard quality that has a 53 mm bore and 45 mm stroke.
Dimensions & seating position: 1945 mm length, 770 mm width and 1072 mm height, the bike seems bigger than looks. Its ground clearance is 169 mm which is pretty enough to avoid speed breaker easily. Besides, it has a 1235 mm wheelbase which is just like a standard bike. As 100 cc bike, it’s net weight is 108 kg which is completely suitable for the bike and there is a good seating position which can take more than one pillion on it. Its fuel tank is bigger than looks which can contain 10.5 liters fuel along with 2.4 liters reserve fuel capacity.
Suspension & Brakes: The front suspension of the bike is hydraulic, telescopic type and the rear suspension is Trailing arm with coaxial hydraulic shock absorber and coil springs. The suspensions are good which will help the riders on high low and the rural streets and causes no pain. However, both brakes are drum where if there is disc brake used in front, it would be better for controlling. Though, wheels are made by spoke but the company should use alloy wheels instead of spoke.
Mileage: Most of the Indian motorcycles are better for heavy mileage and in the case of CT 100, it can provide more than 67 km mileage average which would cross 72 on the highway. It is a great mileage for middle-income people who needs to run plenty km per day.
Instrument Panel & Features: The instrument panels are good but completely analog. It consists of an analog speedometer and analog odometer. The headlight quality is comparatively lower which needs to improve.
Colors & Price: Two colors of Bajaj CT 100 are currently available in Bangladesh which is Red and Black. The current market price of the bike in Bangladesh is BDT 89,900 which seems completely affordable for mid-income people.
