Bajaj Auto LTD is one of the largest and leading motorcycle manufacturing company. They produces all commuter and mid-range sports bike and scooters. They getting popular after launching Bajaj Pulsar 150 back in 2001. After that they launched various kinds of Pulsar motorcycles. Now they are trying to manufactured higher segments bikes and Bajaj Dominar 400 is the result.

Bajaj keep holding the motorcycle market with their new and advanced tech motorcycles. When the time came to have a foot mark to a higher displacement class, Bajaj took a great decision and started to manufacture Bajaj Dominar series. The first motorcycle from this series is Dominar 400. This two wheeler gets Advanced tech engine, stunning headlamp unit, aggressive look and most of all great and eye catching design. So lets take a look in its feature review.

Design & looks: Bajaj Dominar 400 comes with all new design and aggressive look. This is the First bike from Bajaj Domina series. It gets premium 3-coat chip resistance paint which is only used in sports car. Multi colored body decals, twin spar perimeter frame, sculptured fuel tank makes it bulky and appealing. Double barrel stubby exhaust with carbon fiber muffler makes it sporty. It will help to improve engines torque at low revs without compromising anything. Rear foot-pegs and wide handle bar will make you feel like a naked sports bike. Four models headlamps are added on its feature. which are position lamp, automatic headlamp on, low beam and high beam and parking light. Its bikini fairing design makes it aggressive. Side body panel, engine cowl and front and rear mudguard also looks good. It also get all new designed mirrors and a small windshield. Twin LED rear infinity lights are visible even in from far distance. Diamond cut alloy cast wheels look sporty which is also first used in bike.

Engine performance: Bajaj manufactured a beast with the name Bajaj Dominar 400. It could compared with many foreign brands motorcycles for its engine quality and power delivery. This 373 cc, liquid cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, DTS-i engine can beasily churns out 34.5 bhp maximum power at 8000 rpm and 35 Nm torque in 6500 rpm. Though its kerb weight is 182 kg, but it doesn’t feel lazy even in lower speed. It can reach 0-100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds. It indicates, it has a decent and quick acceleration rate. This two wheeler also gets mid-range performance which will help in overtaking. 6-speed gear box and slipper clutch provides smooth and easy transmission. Dominar 400 can easily hit the top speed of 155 km/h.

Dimensions & seating position: Bajaj also took concern about its seating position and seating comfort. Premium German seat is used in this two wheeler. This seat is wide, roomier and well padded which will provide enough support in long journey. Dominars overall dimension is little bit bigger than normal and commuter sports bike. It gets the standard height of 1112 mm, width 813 mm and length 2156 mm. Ground clearance is also a important part of a biker and its get 157 mm. 110/70-17 and 150/60-17 section radial low profile tyres used in this two wheeler. It provide superior grip in cornering, reduce skidding and stopping distance and fuel efficiency.

Suspension & Brakes: bajaj didn’t compromise with Dominars braking system. Bike like this configuration, definitely need superior braking system. 320 mm front disc brake(first in its segment) and 230 mm disc brake in rear wheel makes it safe and improve its controlling. 43 mm telescopic fork suspension operated the front and Multi Step Adjustable Mono-shock suspension is for rear. Which make comfortable in long ride and off road. Beam Type Perimeter Frame type chassis is looks amazing and provide this bike stability and strength.

Mileage: Mileage would be a fact about this motorcycle. Bajaj didn’t published its real mileage. But it wouldn’t over 27 km/l in average. This electric fuel injection engine can deliver 22 km/l in off road/city and 30 km/l in highway.

Instrument Panel & Features: Moninars instrumental panel is comes with reverse LCD display. It gets bright backlit segments with clear contrast ratio for better clarity. This instrumental console contains with Speedometer, Odometer, Trip meter, Clock, tachometer and many more essential feature.

Colors: Baja Dominar 400 comes with three available colors into the market. Which are Canyon Red, Glacier Blue and Rock Matte Black.
