Bajaj V15 Overall Review
Bajaj is regarded as the top motorcycle manufacturing company based in India which used to launch its products in Bangladesh along with some other countries. Due to the reasonable price with the latest configurations, Bajaj has successfully achieved popularity in Bangladesh. In every calendar year, they used to launch different new products or brought updated versions of the motorcycle. By following the sequence, they launched their first cafe racer bike in Bangladesh named Bajaj V15 which is a 150 cc motorcycle just a few months ago.
Bajaj V15 is completely a new model of Bajaj which is powered by a 149.5 cc engine with 11.83 @ 7500 rpm maximum power and 13 Nm @ 5500 rpm maximum torque. The most important thing about this motorcycle is its fuel tank which is made by using the metal of INS Vikrant, an Indian retired warship. So, Bajaj placed a logo to commemorate the INS Vikrant on the product of V15. The looks of the bike are pretty classic. However, recently Bajaj company stated that they have still enough metal of the retired warship to produce V15 in the next two years. They will also carry the same logo of the retired warship.
However, V15 is an important product of Bajaj though it holds 150 cc displacement the company has kept the price reasonable. Considering the price of V15, it can compare with 125 cc bikes that are available in the market currently.
Design & looks: Firstly, we have to admit its unique body shape and outlook. It’s mainly a cafe racer bike made of the metal of a retired Indian warship. So, it possesses a patriotic flavor. Besides, its front fairing and windshield are almost alike to Kawasaki Boxer. Also, it’s a rear part it seems the same as an Avenger along with better-looking ten-spoke alloy wheels. However, its seating position is a bit low and completely suitable for the design.
Engine performance: The engine quality of Bajaj V15 is good with b149.5 cc displacement which can develop 11.83 @ 7500 rpm maximum power with 13 Nm @ 5500 rpm maximum torque. With the five-speed gearbox, Baja V15 can run at more than 110 km per hour at top speed. Though, V15 is a bike that is not suitable for the race of speed. It is more like the cafe racing model which can be used for style. However, Bajaj V15 also possesses the DTSi engine which is completely trustable for long-term use.
Dimensions & seating position: It seems, the dimension of the motorcycle is a bit smaller than a regular standard bike which is (2044 mm * 780 mm * 1070 mm) respectively. Though, the seat height is a bit low but comfortable no doubt. The seat height of V15 is 780 mm and its wheelbase is 1315. With 165 mm ground clearance, a speed breaker can easily be crossed by this machine. The fuel tank is a bit bigger and can contain almost 13 liters but the seating position for the pillion is not suitable. Like the cafe racer, a rider needs to remove the cowl for the pillion which gives different look.
Suspension & Brakes: The riders are not satisfied with the suspension of the bike which is a bit hard. It should be more flexible for different roads. The telescopic suspension is used for the front wheel and twin spring-loaded suspension which is a hydraulic type with gas-filled is used for the rear position. No offense about the braking system of the bike which consists of the front hydraulic disc brake and rear drum brake. The brakes have enough power to control a 135 kg bike at any speed.
Mileage: Due to being a cafe racer which is comparatively better with the mileage. It can give the highest 55 km mileage on the highway if properly maintaining the speed but on city roads where it can face so many obstacles, it can give more than 45 km mileage. So, we can say, it can give almost 50 km mileage.
Instrument Panel & Features: Complete update instrument panel makes it more attractive though, the speedometer and tachometer are both analog systems but updated. Bajaj V15 has a number of special features which as an odometer, fuel gauge, gear indicator, and low battery indicator. However, along with the kick start, the bike consists of an electric start system as well.
Colors & Price: Though V15 is a 150 cc bikes its price is comparatively lower than the rest of the same segment bikes. According to the latest update, its price is BDT 1,59,500. A total of four colors are available in the market named Heroic Red, Ocean Blue, Ebony Black, and Pearl White. Though, all four colors would not available in Bangladesh.

Cafe racer bikes are very popular in India but in Bangladesh this type of bikes is not as popular as India. Bajaj V15 is a rare model but I’m surprised with its engine performance, millage and stylish body dimension. I have been using it for last two years without ant major issues, those I’ve faced that common for all bikes. One of the major advantages is its parts and spares availability as its from Bajaj. I’m happy with baja V15
