Deshi Biker, the largest biker community and platform in Bangladesh, has made history in the domestic biking culture. Deshi Biker successfully completed TT (Tetulia to Teknaf) ride with a team of 53 riders, which is for the first time in Bangladesh.
Since 2017, Deshi Biker has been organizing different events for motorcyclists to enhance bikers’ consciousness. Outrider, Let’s Do Biking, Tea Together, and Moto Madness are some of the flagship events of Deshi Biker and its partners. Accordingly, Deshi Biker launched TT Together which refers to Tetulia to Teknaf ride together; Tetulia is the last northern and Teknaf is the southern upazila of Bangladesh. As it is 53 years of independence and December is the month of victory so, Deshi Biker decided to make history with 53 riders.
Completing TT ride is one of the most prestigious achievements for a rider in Bangladesh, whereas the rider has to complete approximately 1000 km of ride in a single trip from country’s one end to another. Deshi Biker selected a total of 53 riders out of 200 applicants from different districts of the country, riders who had met the terms and conditions only they were selected for the final ride.
Riders gathered at the allotted hotel in Tetulia one day before the final ride. Yamaha Motorcycle Bangladesh sponsored this event, riders participated with 20 – FZS V2, 8 – FZS V3, 1 – FZS V4, 3 – Fazer, 2 – FZX, 10 – MT15, 7 – R15 V3, 5 – R15 V4/M. The final ride was started on 7 December 2024 from Banglabandha Zero Point, the last land of Bangladesh led by Dewan Sohan, founder of Deshi Biker. A team of volunteers, reserved riders, physicians, technicals and cinematographers boarded by microbus followed TT riders and served all essential assistance.
Riders arrived at the Yamaha Flagship Showroom in Dhaka at 2.00 am where they were warmly received by Yamaha officials including Mr. Subrata Ranjan Das, Executive Director at ACI Motors Ltd; they had dinner together.
The trip was resumed after dinner, riders faced difficulties due to heavy fog on Dhaka – Chattagram highways but they completed the ride passing through 15 districts. The team arrived at their destination Teknaf Zero Point at 5.30 PM on 8 December 2024. As soon as they arrived Teknaf Zero Point riders brought out their excitement and happiness.
Riders received a floral reception and Deshi Biker exclusive T-shirt by an awaited representative team of Deshi Biker in Hotel Orchid Blue Cox’s Bazar. Riders went to bed for a sound sleep after more than 28 hours.
Riders enjoyed the natural beauty of Cox’s Bazar Sea beach for refreshment on 9 December 2024.
On the evening of 9 December 2024, riders who completed TT ride without any pause received TT Achievement Certificates. SMK and Studds Helmets were given to riders for best performance and contributions to this ride. All riders shared their TT ride experiences and thanked to Deshi Biker and Yamaha for organizing this ground-braking history. Riders also remarked on the initiatives of DeshiBiker to promote importance safety gear, they said bikers are more conscious about essential safety gear due to DeshiBiker. Riders said they expect more exciting events from Deshi Biker.
Team Deshi Biker thanked all the participants, volunteers, sponsor and who were related to this event. Dewan Sohan assured that Deshi Biker would arrange TT Together later with more number of bikers. The event ended with a cultural program and a DJ party.
On 10 December 2024, Rider checked out from the hotel after having breakfast. The technical team checked all bikes prepared to ride.
