Royal Enfield Classic 350 Feature Review

Royal Enfield is the most oldest motorcycle manufacturer company in the world stablished in 1901 by launching a 239cc motorcycle. It’s headquarter is at Redditch, Worcestershire in Britain. Before manufacturing two-wheelers, they were manufacturing canon and riffle. Till now they use the canon symbol as their brand logo to tell everybody about their story. In 1955, they stated their business in India in partnership with Madras Motors which is in Chennai. They were first introduced Royal Enfield Bullet 350 in the market and it got a huge response from the bikers. Even the Indian government choose Bullet 350 for their Army and Police force to border patrol in 1965.

In 2001, Royal Enfield sold 25,000 unit annually all across India, but now they are selling over 30,000 unit per month. Royal Enfield has sold more bikes in India than Harley Davidson has sold all over the world. This is how big Royal Enfield became. Now they have doing their business over 45 countries.

Royal Enfield is the first motorcycle manufacturer in India, that was introduced rear disc brakes and four-stroke motorcycles in India. After a huge popularity of Bullet 350, they had launched a new motorcycle with a retro design called Royal Enfield Classic 350 in the market back in 1997. These two bikes have a another fanbase all over the world.

Design & looks: After launched in 1997, Royal Enfield didn’t make any changes in Classic 350. But in the beginning of 2020, they launched a newly design Classic 350 in the market. This new edition gets some cosmetic changes like redesigned sculpted fuel tank, retro tail light, new exhaust set-up, pair of new alloy wheels and more. There is no doubt that Royal Enfield make this one as an attention seeker. The pan-head styled headlight unit now available with windshield and pilot lamps. The front and rear mud guard the covers almost half the circumference of both the wheels and the wheels are also get improved. The spoke wheels represent the classic look of Royal Enfield.

Engine performance: Those who loves to hit the top speed, this bike is not for them. Royal Enfield is bike of a king and it always rule the road. This bike is different than others because of the engine powertrain. It can produce more Torque than the Brake Horse Power and it helps when you will ride on the hill road and a long ride. This motorcycle equipped with a Single cylinder, 4 stroke, air-cooled, fuel injection, 346cc engine that can burn out 19.8 Bhp maximum power at 5250 rpm and 28 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. But as a 350cc cruiser bike, this motorcycle should have a liquid-cooled engine. As the record says, this motorcycle can hit the top speed of 135 km/h. But it started to vibrate after 80 to 90 km/h speed. The engine mated with a 5-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch.

Dimensions & seating position: Royal Enfield motorcycles are known for their comfort at any road condition and long tour. The R&D team of Royal Enfield spend so much time to make this motorcycle super riding friendly. Wide handlebar and well-cushioned seats provide a comfortable ride during city and highway riding. Single seat comes with as stock but you can install another seat for pillion. There is not a single change in this new edition in dimension. The overall length of this bike is 2160 mm, Width 790 mm, height 1090 mm and the wheelbase size is 1370 mm. It has a 135 mm of ground clearance which is two low for a cruiser bike, but its 800 mm seat height will suit for any heighted rider.

Suspension & Brakes: Royal Enfield didn’t changed their suspension settings from the beginning but they make some changes to improve the suspensions and that can provide comfortable cruising ride. Classic 350 equipped with a Telescopic, 35mm Forks suspension that can travel 130 mm and Twin Gas Charged Shock Absorbers With 5-step Adjustable Preload installed in the rear wheel and it can travel 80 mm. This 2020 edition of Classic 350 has two different variations, one is single channel ABS and another one is dual-channel ABS. The front wheel gets a 280 mm disc and the rear wheel gets 240 mm disc brake.

Mileage: There are some confusions about the mileage of this motorcycle. Many people thought that because of the 350cc engine you can’t get better than 20-25 km/l mileage. But this motorcycle gave us surprises. We saw some user reviews and it show us the average mileage of this bike 32-35 km/l.

Instrument Panel & Features: This update version now have a semi-digital dashboard that wasn’t had the previous one. The speedometer of this bike is analog. But the other features like trip meter, fuel gauge, low fuel indicator features are shows on the digital display.

Colors: There are so many color variations we can see in this bike. Among them Orange, Ember, Stealth Black, Chrome Black, Strome Rider Sand, Classic Black and Metallo Silver.
