From the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, Japanese motorcycle brands ruled the world. Today, in many countries Japanese brands are yet at the leading position. But the marketplace is started to change. Some European-origin brands like KTM, Aprilia, Ducati gave a huge impact on the market. Among them, KTM is the brightest name because of its unique design and amazing engine performance. To reduce the price and maintain the quality, they have started to manufacture their motorcycles in India with the collaboration of Bajaj.
From the beginning of 2021, Runner Automobiles Ltd started to launch KTM motorcycles officially in Bangladesh and became the sole distributor. Before them, some local distributors imported KTM bikes and the price was too high. Runner launched two models of KTM which are KTM Duke 125 and the full-faired version KTM RC 125. The naked version Duke has two, edition one is Indian and another one is European.
KTM Duke 125 is an evolution to the entry-level sports bike. This bike has a different fan base for the young generation of bikers. It also has some advanced features which are first in the 125cc segment.
Key Features of KTM Duke 125:
- Fuel Injection system.
- Attractive LED headlight unit.
- Stylish Trellis Frame.
- Single-channel ABS system.
- Sporty clip-on handlebar and split seats.
- TFT digital instrument cluster.
KTM Duke 125 has two different editions which are Indian and European. These two editions do have some changes in design and features. So lets find out the changes among them.

The most noticeable differences between these editions are the instrument panel and the headlight unit. The European edition comes with a regular sporty exhaust and attractive LED headlight unit where the Indian edition gets an underbelly exhaust and halogen headlight unit.
Apart from these, the engine powertrain remains the same. This naked bike is equipped with a Single Cylinder, 4 Valve, Liquid Cooled, FI, DOHC, 124.7cc engine that can burn out 14.3 Bhp maximum power at 9250 rpm and 12 Nm of torque at 8000 rpm. Because of the double overhead camshaft and 4-valves, this bike has excellent acceleration even it’s a 125cc bike. The engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch for better transmission. There is also a huge price gap between these two variants.
