Bajaj Discover 150F Review

Bajaj is one of the most popular motorcycle brand in Bangladesh which used to be imported in Bangladesh by Uttara Motors from India. Since the beginning, India company Bajaj is dominating the motorcycle market in Bangladesh and they often release different models in Bangladesh. To continue the race, they release Discover series which has provided more mileage than others and considering standard model, the Discover series bikes have gained popularity. The last product of this machine is Discover 150F which is completely a standard motorcycle in 150 cc segment. The bike used to provide more mileage than any 150 cc motorcycles in Bangladesh with it’s powerful engine. Due to standard looking and completely adjustable with different aged peoples, Discover series is one of the most selling motorcycle in Bangladesh.

Before releasing 150F, Bajaj revealed just Discover 150 once which gained less popularity than expected. Later, company just updated the model where they added some kit and now it seems almost semi fairing bike. Though, Bajaj has another 150 cc products named Pulsar in Bangladesh which is a most wanted bike and so, company updated Discover and added latest fuel efficient technology. Basically, now according to the last price update, Discover 150F and Pulsar 150 DTSi are selected as the same price but a bit old people used to take Discover 150F instead of Pulsar due to better mileage and bit good standard looking than Pulsar.

Design & looks: The looks of the bike is bit well than rest models of Discover series and it is the only Discover bike which is regarded as the semi faired motorcycle. fuel tank model remains same but there is a kit added on the both side of headlight which makes the bike bigger and gives a new look. However, it’s handlebar is like the rest standard bikes which is pretty comfortable to the riders. Though, it is a semi fairing motorcycle but rest features of this bike are alike with standard category. It would be perfect for those who wants semi fair looks, great mileage and comfortable ride.

Engine performance: The engine of the bike is very good and almost comparable to any 150 cc engine. The bike consists of 144.8 cc displacement with 14.3 Bhp @ 8500 rpm maximum power which is higher than current Pulsar 150 DTSi and the tourque is 12.7 Nm @ 6500 rpm maximum. Though, as one of the best quality standard bike in Bangladesh, it’s top speed is recorded 110 cc which is pretty enough but we are so sure that it would increase with good hand. Updated BS 26 carburettor has used for this machine where the starting system consists of both electric and kick.

Dimensions & seating position: Dimension of the bike is (2038 * 714 * 1070) mm respectively which is almost same as the rest models of Discover. However, seat height of the motorcycle is 795 mm along with 1305 mm wheelbase. Though, fuel tank seems pretty bigger but can contains only 10 litres. There are pretty enough space by riding with two pillions on the bike. As a highest level of standard bike, it’s weight is pretty low which is 130 kg net weight reportedly.

Suspension & Brakes: Though, most of the features of the machine are alike with rest products of the series but suspensions are fully updated. As usual for front wheel, telescopic suspension is used used but for rear wheel, monoshocks and nitrox with gas filled suspension is used. It is pretty comfortable than normal suspensions. Besides, the disc brake is used for front and drum brake is used for rear part of the wheel. As like the rest motorcycles of Bajaj in Bangladesh, this bike also consists of less wide tyres but can grip well in wet road also.

Mileage: The mileage of the semi fair Discover is very good which can provide 60 km mileage average which is more than expected from a 150 cc bike. Besides, mileage would increase on the highway if riders would follow proper tuning. If you want both mileage and powerful engine, then should go for this bike without feeling any hesitation.

Instrument Panel & Features: Bajaj Discover 150F has also updated instrument panel which consists of digital speedometer. Besides, it has tachometer, trun lamp, clock, low oil and fuel indicators and some other switches are added. However, the headlight is also powerful with Halogen Bulb 12V 35/35 and tail light is 12V – 5/21 W.

Colors & Price: Total four colors are available in Bangladesh of Discover 150F which are Ebony Black, Wine Red, Dark Blue and Dark Bottle Green. And the price of the bike was BDT 177,000 and right now it’s stock out.
