Pulsar 150 AS is now the top bike of Baja in Bangladesh which was just revealed more than a year ago in the country. The bike is considerably stronger than previous Pulsar 150 DTSi. Pulsar 150 AS is a semi fairing and regarded as Adventure Sports bike. The bike is built with complete new technology which was first released in india with 200 cc engine. According to the BRTA, 200 cc bikes are not allowed on Bangladeshi road and so, Bajaj revised the bike and reduced the engine power for especially Bangladesh.

After releasing new model of Pulsar 150 AS, as usual peoples kept looking the bad side of the bike and they found some. The main problem was it’s sound. It’s not like the old Pulsar. 2nd one was it’s less wide tyres and there were some others. But, after using it, they got all the answer they needed except but one. The one is it’s sound. It does not match with the bike really but hopefully, company would solve the problem in next update of Pulsar 150 AS.

Design & looks: If we consider the looks of Pulsar 150 AS, we must admit it’s hot, exciting and macho looks. It is very stylish bike in the time being with more eye catching projection head light. Besides, it has very muscular fuel tank which consists of 12 litres. Besides, the tail light design is totally different than old Pulsar which gives it complete sports look. Due to be a sports category motorcycle, it’s seating position is a bit higher and splitted.

Engine performance: Considering it’s sports engine, riders can feel it during every gear shift while riding this beast. According to the company, the bike has 149.5 cc engine with 13 Nm @ 7000 rpm maximum torque. Besides, it’s cooling system is completely alike with rest sports bikes which is liquid cooled. Besides, the common kick starting system is unavailable in this bike only but electric start. With 16.8 Bhp @ 9500 maximum power, the bike can give almost 130 km per hour top speed which is very satisfying. Besides, the bike has good acceleration along with quick throttle response. Pulsar 150 AS has maximum five speed gearbox with four valve, twin spark, single cylinder DTSi engine which is very trustable.

Dimensions & seating position: The bike seems bigger than old Pulsar and it’s dimension is (2070 mm * 804 mm * 1205 mm) respectively. Besides, the seat height is also a bit higher with 807 mm and wheelbase is 1363 mm. However, the bike is completely new designed with aerodynamic shape. The seating position is quite comfortable and would not face any trouble while riding. The seat is divided into two part and so, with pillion, the ride can be enjoyed.

Suspension & Brakes: High quality nitrox monoshock suspension is used for the rear wheel of Pulsar 150 AS which provides heavy comfort to the riders and pillion. For Front wheel, telescopic suspension is used. Besides, it’s braking system is also well which consists of front disc brake and rear drum brake. The combination of disc and drum brake used to provide much safety in crucial moment. However, it’s front and rear tyre are bit wider than old pulsar but not enough to compare with FZS or Fazer. But, as a sports bike, it can give much grip on cornering.

Mileage: The mileage of the bike is standard level which is not so high or not a bit low. It’s medium. According to the users of Pulsar 150 AS, it can give average 42 to 45 km mileage which used to increase on highway and decrease on city road.

Instrument Panel & Features: Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS has digital speedometer in the instrument panel with analog tachometer. Besides, it has also low and high fuel indicators, trun lamp, digital clock etc. Consists of complete maintenance free battery with projection headlamp.
