Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 FI ABS Feature Review
Bajaj introduced the Pulsar series back in 2001. From then Pulsar is one of the popular and top choice motorcycles among people. There are many segments Pulsars available in India. 150, 180 and 200 cc segments Pulsars are reliable and popular. Bajaj continues to upgrade this series with high-tech and new features.
Pulsar NS 160 is one of the popular bikes in the 160cc segment. But recently they launched the updated version of this motorcycle in Bangladesh. The design and color scheme remains unchanged. They added an EFI engine, single-channel ABS, Dual-disc brake, and 120/80 sections tyre for better performance. The seating position and engine displacement remain the same as the previous version.
Design & looks: Bajaj didn’t change any of its design and look. This new version is equipped with the same design and paint scheme as the previous version. The fuel tank remains big and sculpted. It contains 12 liters of fuel and 2.4 liters of reserve fuel capacity. The front extension kit holds 160 logos. The split seat and stylish pillion grabrail make it look sporty. There is also an engine cowl available that gets the matching color with the fuel tank. The headlamp and dashboard unit remains unchanged. Two mudguards on the rear wheel will help you during the rainy season.
Engine performance: The Engine also remains unchanged. But this new edition gets EFI (Electric Fuel Injection) engine. That will ensure the proper use of fuel. It’s equipped with Single Cylinder, 4-Stroke, 4-Valve, SOHC, DTS-i, 160.3cc displacement engine that can burn out 15.28 bhp maximum power at 8500 rpm and 14.6 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The 5-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch are mated with the engine for better transmission. For the aerodynamic shape, it can reach the top speed of 127 km/h.
Dimensions & seating position: Premium and well-padded seat added into this two-wheeler. in a long ride, this seat promised to provide comfort. The handlebar is rise-up towards the rider and the seating position is comfortable. The overall length of this bike is 2017 mm, width 803 mm, height 1060 mm, and the wheelbase size is 1370 mm. Its 176 mm ground clearance will give your bike protection in rough road conditions. 90/100-17 section tyre in front and 120/80-17 section tyre is used in the rear wheel. The kerb weight of this bike is 148 kg.
Suspension & Brakes: Telescopic With Anti Friction Bush suspension is added in the front end and Nitrox Mono Shock Absorber With Canister is used in the rear. These suspensions are reliable and will provide comfort in off-road. Pressed Steel Perimeter frame-type chassis is installed into this two-wheeler. This chassis provides stability and balance during the ride. Bajaj added the dual-disc braking system into this bike and also single-channel ABS. It will definitely enhance the bike’s braking system. They installed 260 mm petal disc in front and a 230 mm normal disc brake in the rear.
Mileage: Mileage was one of the issues in the previous version. But this time Bajaj upgraded the engine with the EFI system. For that, you can have better mileage in this new version. It promises to provide 42-45 km/l average mileage. But on the highway, you will get more.
Instrument Panel & Features: The instrumental cluster is semi-digital. Tachometer, Fuel gauge, and indicator lights signal is analog. But the other features like Odometer, Speedometer, and clock are digital.
Colors: Baja Pulsar NS 160 FI ABS comes in three available colors in the market. Those are Red, Blue, and Grey. This bike price is 262,500 BDT and 210,000/- for its none FI version.
