Hero Splendor Plus Overall ReviewÂ
Hero MotoCorp is one of the popular and leading two-wheeler companies in India and top manufacturer which used to export different category products in Bangladesh. It has been doing business in Bangladesh with a high market share. Heroâs motorcycles are one of the cheapest and most cost-effective. One of their celebrated products, Hero Splendor Plus is a top 100 cc segment motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp has revamped its commuter bike, Splendor, featuring all the specifications to meet the BS6 criteria.
Splendor Plus is one of the best 100 cc motorcycles in Bangladesh currently due to exclusive features and outlooks. People of different ages can easily ride on it or it can suit all riders as well. So, this is the reason for the popularity of this Hero machine.
Design & looks: Hero Splendor Plus has some new graphics with an amazing body shape which gives a completely distinctive look. The bike consists of dual-toned livery with a completely comfortable seat and stylish grab rail in the rear position of the bike which is totally fantastic. Besides, it has a simple but effective headlamp, measured handlebar with nicely colored rear view mirrors, etc. This model is available in multiple variants and colors.
Engine performance: They used the same engine technology which is used for Hero Splendor Pro and Hero Splendor iSmart. Like them, it has also a 97.2 cc engine with air-cooled, single-cylinder, digital CDI ignition, and OHC-based engine technology. With a four-speed gearbox transmission, the bike can run with almost 87 km per hour top speed which is quite adequate for a 100 cc bike. Besides, it possesses i3S technology which generally helps to provide better mileage. The bike features the company’s XSens system of sensors to ensure optimum performance and the company’s patented idle-start-stop system that helps save fuel and cut down running costs.
Dimensions & seating position: The dimension of Splendor Plus is well designed consisting of 1970 mm in length, 720 mm in width, and 1040 mm in height. Besides, its ground clearance is also on an average level of 159 mm. The seating position also seemed comfortable for a rider. The bike is featured with a big fuel tank capacity of 11 liters and a reserve of 1 liter.
Suspension & Brakes: Hero Splendor Plus has a drum braking system. It would be more suitable if they used a disc brake which is very important in the background of Bangladesh. However, their braking system is good. Internal Expanding Shoe type drum brakes are used for both wheels of the bike which can be able to control the speed of the bike within a short time. The suspensions are also good which consist of a telescopic hydraulic shock absorber in front and swing-arm shock absorber suspension in the rear wheel.
Mileage: Hero Splendor Plus is one of the most fuel-efficient motorcycles in its segment which usually provides more than 65 km mileage on the highway but on the city, mileage would not be less than 55 km. So, considering average, its mileage would be 60 km.
Instrument Panel & Features: The bike consists of an analog speedometer, analog odometer, and analog fuel gauge. Besides, it has an electric starting system including a kick option and there is also a pass light.
Colors & Price: The regular price of Hero Splendor Plus is a bit higher than available 100 cc bikes in Bangladesh which are BDT 123,000. Besides, there are two different colors of the bike available which are Candy Red, Black with silver.
