Hero MotoCrop is the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer over the decades, the brand has strong presence in the global automotive industry. Hero is well known for its affordable motorcycles, in India Hero holds the lion share of the total motorcycle industry. Since the very beginning Hero’s motorcycle has been popular for its convenient design and decent performance. Though Hero was confined to producing friendly commuter bikes, recently Hero has started to manufacture full-faired sports and naked sports bikes. Hero’s Hunk and Thriller was not paced with the modern trend of stylish sports bikes.

With a view to pacing with the modern era Hero launched Karizma XMR 210 and Xtreme 200S and got incredible success. Having inspiration from that Hero introduced the Xtreme 125R to reach the customer who can’t afford higher cc bikes but Hero has designed the Xtreme 125 with a modern sporty touch. Hero Xtreme 125R is the first ever sport commenter bike which is an embodiment of the sporty aggressive and comfortable of a daily commuter bike. Its impressive exterior and minimal graphics can appeal to any high-end sports bike. Looks and Design: Hero Xtreme 125R is a modern sports commuter motorcycle that differs itself from the conventional commuter bike in both mechanically and cosmetically of 125 cc bike. It has a premium sporty feel in appearance from the top to bottom. It comes with a sporty profile, it upright seating ergonomic, and its exterior components resemble those of any super sports bike. In front its aggressive LED headlamp chamber and naked meter console catches anyone’s eye for a while. Its bulky fuel tank with both side extensions added extra dimension to it. Usually, the split sear is rare in 125 cc commuter bikes but the Xtreme has,  more comfortable for both rider and pillion. The rear profile of Hero Xtreme 125R is the most striking part of this machine, there is a naked wheel cover found in Yamaha FZS V3, KTM Duke, Pulsar N160, and N250. It also has a stylish and sleek hazard tail lamp which is very attractive. In appearance the Xtreme 125R is a topnotch bike that can’t be compared in this segment.

Engine Performance: Hero Xtreme 125R has a new revolutionary engine of 124.7 cc, single cylinder, air-cooled FI intending to produce smooth acceleration and instant torque that helps to make 0-60 km/h acceleration within 5.9 seconds. The ultimate powerful engine can generate 11.4BHP @ 8250 RPM of maximum power and 10.5 Nm @6500 RPM of maximum torque. Moreover, its 5-speed transmission and wet multi-plate clutch combined for quick responsive performance, just a twist of throttle it reaches ultimate acceleration ease. The advanced fuel injection (Fi) technology is given to it in lieu of the traditional carburetor fuel supply system to ensure better fuel consumption and sharp throttle response that leads to maximum fuel efficiency.

Dimension and Seating Position: Hero Xtreme 125R gets the standard dimension of a naked sport bike, despite of commuter bike the Xtreme 125R is prettier than the rest in the market. Its overall length, width, and height ratio is 2009 x 793 x 1051 mm respectively. The ground clearance is 180 mm which is perfect to pass over any speed breaker, this bike is lightweight and allows anyone to maintain it. The split seat is very comfortable for both rider and pillion, it has also a sporty feel found in high-end sports bikes. Xtreme 125 is equipped with a muscular fuel tank that contains a maximum of 10 liters of fuel sufficient for a decent ride.

Brake & Suspensions: Hero Xtreme 125R features 240 mm dia disc for CBS and  276mm dia disc for ABS in the front brake and 130 mm dia drum in the rear brake for both CBS and ABS variants. The diamond shape of the Xtreme 125R is supported by 37 mm conventional dia forks and 7-step adjustable mono-shock. The monoshock suspension came of SHOWA for the first ever in the segment which offers smooth and comfortable riding even on the roughest roads.

Mileage: Though Hero officially claimed that Hero Xtreme 125 will provide about 66 km/h, it is quite incredible in the Bangladesh context due to several factors. As it is 125 cc commuter bike so you will get a satisfactory mileage of approximately 55 km/l.

Electrical & Instrumental Panel: Hero Xtreme 12R is a new-era sports commuter bike, it is equipped with all the latest features including an LED setup, an impressive LED projector headlight, sleek and stylish winkers, and an LED tail lamp. Its fully digital meter console readouts all essential notifications including speedo meter, fuel gauge, low fuel indications, servicing reminder, and so on.
