Bajaj introduces Pulsar RS 200 in the year of 2015. But in 2017, this bike came with a new design and some basic upgrade in the feature. This is the only fully-faired bike from Bajaj and they tried to make it stunning and aggressive. Who loves the Pulsar series will definitely fall in love with Pulsar RS 200. This motorcycle also gets a powerful liquid-cooled EFI engine and can generate extreme power. This motorcycle has to compete with Yamaha R15, KTM RC200, and TVS Apache 200 RTR 4v.
Design & looks: Bajaj tried their best for the outlook of this motorcycle. For the high pillion seat and front body kit, it looks sporty and aggressive. It comes with multi-colored body decals, a well-finished paint scheme, an aerodynamic body frame, and a muscular fuel tank. It looks like Pulsar NS 200 from some angle. Twin projector headlamp is added into its feature which is also seen in Yamaha R1. The petal discs and multi-spoke alloy wheels get a sporty look. The tail lamp is crystal clear and designed differently. The engine cover guard is perfectly adjusted with the body. The exhaust looks amazing with its carbon-fiber muffler.
Engine performance: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 featured with the same engine capacity as Pulsar NS 200. But the new version got 1 bhp power more. This motorcycle came with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 199.5 cc displacement engine which can deliver 24.16 bhp @ 9750 rpm and 18.6 Nm maximum torque at 8000 rpm. At high revs, the engine sounds good. 6-speed gearbox added for the better and smooth transmission. For this amount of bhp, this version of Pulsar runs fast and gets a quick acceleration rate. The top speed of this bike is 140 km/h.
Dimensions & seating position: Premium and well-padded seat added into this two-wheeler. in a long ride, this seat promised to provide comfort. The handlebar is rise-up towards the rider and the seating position is comfortable. This motorcycle gets a bigger dimension than other Pulsar bikes. The standard height of this bike is 1114 mm, width 765 mm and length 1999 mm. Ground clearance of this bike is also good which is 157 mm. It gets a 1355 mm large wheelbase. 100/80-17 and 130/70-17 section tyres are used in this bike. It will help to get a proper grip in cornering.
Suspension & Brakes: Telescopic With Anti Friction Bush suspension is added in front end and Nitrox Mono Shock Absorber With Canister is used in the rear. These suspensions are reliable and will provide comfort in off road. Pressed Steel Perimeter frame type chassis is installed into this two-wheeler. This large disc brakes helped to reduce braking distance and effective in emergency braking.
Mileage: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 couldn’t give better mileage like NS 200. This motorcycle has a handsome average mileage close to 35 km/l. But it can deliver almost 40 km/l in highway and 30 km/l in off road.
