Kawasaki D-Tracker Overall Review
Kawasaki is one of the top-rated Japanese motorcycle manufacturing brand which is famous throughout the world. The price range of Kawasaki products is comparatively higher because they use reliable Japanese parts to their products which would cost much. Their brands are available in most of the countries of the world along with Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, people would love to buy Japanese assembled bikes and placed them as their first choice but in most cases, they could not afford a Japanese bike due to high price tags. But still, now, Japanese products are regarded as the top popular in Bangladesh over Indian bikes. Kawasaki is one of the top three Japanese brands and it has released a couple of model bikes in Bangladesh. Kawasaki D Tracker is one of them which is mainly a dirt bike but due to better shape, it can be used as a dual purpose.
Kawasaki D Tracker is a 150 cc bike which is more than a dirt bike. It is quite comfortable and has got wide tyres than common dirt bikes. Besides, it has sprocket wheels instead of alloy. The seat is quite comfortable and not so odd like most of the dirt bike. Let’s check the detail specification of Kawasaki D Tracker 150 below.
Design & looks: The looks of Kawasaki D Tracker is quite decent. Though, it is a dirt bike but can use as a standard category as well. The bike has a small fuel tank but sharp designed which has a long seating position. There is an engine guard that is completely the same shape as the engine. The front suspension is long. Spocket wheels give an exciting look. It consists of much weight than looks. The silencer pipe is placed just beneath the seat. A headlamp is small but would provide better performance. Overall, the dirt bike is gorgeous to look at.
Engine performance: D Tracker consists of 144 ccs actual displacement which has 12 PS @ 8000 rpm max power. The max torque is also great which consists of 11.3 Nm @ 6500 rpm. It has a complete unique NCV24 carburetor which has also five-speed gearbox. The bike is very good for speed and reported the top speed of this dirt bike is 130 km per hour.
Dimensions & seating position: Generally a dirt bike is smaller than a standard bike and it is the same for D Tracker. The length is 1900 mm, width is 770 mm and height is 1060 mm. Besides, it has 270 mm ground clearance which is very familiar to a dirt bike. The fuel tank is smaller but can carry seven liters of fuel. The seat is pretty higher and comfortable as well. Two persons could fit for the bike to ride not more. The kerb weight is 120 kg.
Suspension & Brakes: Front suspension of Kawasaki D Tracker is long and the type is telescopic USD and rear suspension is mono which is Uni Trak with a five-way adjustable preload. Both are reliable and can take heavy pressure on rural roads. However, this is no ordinary dirt bike where two hydraulic disc brakes are used. The front disc is bigger than the rear. The tyres are also quite wide and would keep the balance.
Mileage: Here comes to the mileage. The reported mileage of the bike Kawasaki D Tracker is 50 km average which is pretty impressive. But considering the user opinion, it would not less than 45 km for sure.
Instrument Panel & Features: Kawasaki D Tracker has an updated front panel that has an all-digital meter consists of an odometer, speedometer, trip meter and clock. There is also a tachometer added to the front panel.
Colors & Price: Green and Ebony are the two available colors of Kawasaki D Tracker in Bangladesh with the current BDT 395,000 price tag. The usage of the dirt bikes is not much in the country but hopefully, within a short time, people would get used to it.
