Kawasaki Z125 Feature Review
Kawasaki is one of the finest motorcycle manufacture companies all over the world. Kawasaki is famous for its stunning bikes and powerful engine. This is a Japanese brand but they have some industrial branches in the US, Indonesia, Philippine, India, Bangladesh, and Thailand. Recently they launched a 125cc sports bike after a long time. Kawasaki K 125 will compete in the market with KTM Duke 125 and Aprilia RS V4 125.
For a long absence in the 125 cc segment, Kawasaki missed out on the young generation riders. Their other bikes are popular all over the world but now they are again trying to catch the 125cc market. This is the best offering bike by the company in a low displacement segment. However, they are not available in Bangladesh but now they are interested to enter our motorcycle market. Iconic aggressive Z bodywork encouraging spirited riding for both new riders and sporty as you would expect from Kawasaki.
Design & looks: This 125 cc naked sport gets the Kawasaki’s unique sugomi design. This little Z 125 is eye-catching, sporty, attractive and instantly identifiable just looking at it. The Z 125’s aggressive and dynamic hints at its sporty potential. The hourglass figure is complemented by extremely lightweight looks. It also has close-fit bodywork and an original trellis frame. This bike contains a small pillion but will enhance the sporty appearance. Arrow matt black exhausted muffler is used for Z 125. This exhausted is made of stainless steel with a carbon fiber end cap. All over Kawasaki tries to give a sporty and racing look into this two-wheeler.
Engine performance: Kawasaki is always conscious about their engines and this Z 125 is not apart from this. Like a typical Kawasaki engine, it delivers a good “punch” at high rpm and continues to pull right up to the rev limiter. This sports bike is powered by 4-valve, 4-stroke liquid-cooled 125cc engine which can generate 15 HP @ 10,000 rpm maximum power and 11.7 Nm @ 7,700 rpm torque which indicates good acceleration. Smooth-shifting six-speed transmission gives the sporty street performance and offering gear for every situation. It can hit its top speed at 115 km/h at a glance. Riders will love this bike in a long ride for its liquid-cooled system.
Dimensions & seating position: Sports bikes are mainly designed for the only rider. This bike also doesn’t have a large pillion but it will enhance its look. ERGO-FIT seats enable riders to select seats that optimize their fit on the bike. Kawasaki Z 125 has a standard height of 1015 mm, width 740 mm, length 1935 mm. The seat height of this bike is 815 mm and 185 mm ground clearance. Alloy wheels are used in this bike. Kawasaki doesn’t use economy tyre on it. Decent Dunlop tyres will give enough grip and control. This is more than enough for this kind of bikes on the road. where the front size is 100/80-17 and rear is 130/70 -17.
Suspension & Brakes: 37 mm telescopic fork suspension is used for the front end and Uni-Trak, gas-charged shock with adjustable preload suspension for the rear. With a slim, compact trellis frame, sporty suspension and lightweight 17″ wheels offer the new riders to become familiar with a sports bike. It will provide a good balance and comfort. Petal discs are used in both brakes and they offer impressive stopping performance. Double channel-independent sports ABS braking system is also included in its feature and its activation maximizes sporty control. It will provide safety and will reduce the braking distance. According to the record, it can get it’s top speed 115 km/h with 150 kg weight.
Mileage: We can’t expect efficient mileage on a sports bike. But this new version has a handsome mileage close to 45 km/L. But it would give more mileage on the highway of 50 km/L. This bike has a fuel injection system and can give better efficiency for a sporty bike.
Instrument Panel & Features: The instrument panel of Kawasaki Z 125 is completely rationalized with digital meters along with digital tachometer, trip meter, odometer, low fuel warning. Besides, the bike has a similar headlamp like the previous version Kawasaki Z650.
Colors & Price: The market price of Kawasaki Z 125 is BDT 419,000 according to the latest update. It has three colors available which are Candy plasma blue, metallic flat spark black, candy lime green.
