Yamaha recently launched its most awaited motorcycle MT 15 in the Bangladesh market. ACI Motors LTD launched This naked sports motorcycle was able to create a craze after displayed at Dhaka International Bike Show 2019. Its close rival Honda CB 150R Exmotion is yet to launch in Bangladesh. But some importers and unauthorized distributors started to import this bike. However, people have been started to compare these two bikes.
It’s hard to contrast these two naked sports bike. Engine power, acceleration rate, comfort, build in quality is almost the same. But at some point, Yamaha MT 15 will be ahead and at some point Honda CB 150R Exmotion. So let’s find out the differences and similarities between these two bikes.

Above the chart, we can see that these two motorcycles are similar to each other in many categories. But Yamaha ahead in some specific point. In engine power, Yamaha MT 15 ahead from Honda CB 150R exmotion. MT 15 can generate 19.3 bhp maximum power at 10000 rpm where Exmotion can only 16.8 bhp maximum power at 9000 rpm. Not just only engine MT 15 is ahead in Torque also. The acceleration rate is almost the same but here again, Yamaha MT 15 is ahead in Top speed.
Engine structure and fuel systems are the same. Exmotion can hold 1.5 L less fuel than MT 15. Seat height and ground clearance of MT 15 is better than Exmotion. There are also advantages for MT 15 users. Yamaha improved the clutch system with a slipper clutch which is only used in racing motorcycles. Where Exmotion using the old wet multi-plate clutch system. In braking, Exmotion will be slightly ahead because of its standard double channel ABS system. The front disc brake is also larger than MT 15. Where MT 15 got the single-channel ABS braking system. Yamaha Costs 410,000 BDT which is less than Exmotion 575,000 BDT.
Lastly, the most important thing is Honda didn’t launch this motorcycle in Bangladesh yet. It means some local importers are launching this bike in Bangladesh and you won’t get any sales after service and parts warranty after purchase. So it’s a little bit riskier to buy an unauthorized motorcycle. Where ACI motors LTD well known for their sales after service and also provide parts warranty. So think before purchasing such a big-budget motorcycle-like these two.
