Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0 Feature Review

Yamaha is one of the oldest company which used to launch different models of motorcycles in Bangladesh since the beginning. And the most noticeable fact is that the company used to update its products within a short time and every time of the updating procedure, they used to improve the quality. According to the same way, they revealed SZ-RR V2.0 in Bangladesh.

Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0 is the latest edition of the Yamaha SZ series in Bangladesh which was launched as a powerful and stylish commuter. Yamaha has used the latest Blue Core technology in it which makes the performance of the bike outstanding. Besides, due to better fuel-efficient technology, it used to provide almost 11% more mileage than the older version. However, it’s color combinations and stylish looks make it completely perfect for the young generations.

Design & looks: If we consider the looks of Yamaha SZ – RR V2.0, it’s almost the same as the old version of SZ but due to beautiful graphics with attractive colors, it seems more attractive. Its fuel tank is nicely shaped with a smart kit added on both sides of the fuel tank. Besides, it’s seating position, headlight and other features are well placed which has made it suitable for all aged riders. Though it comes to compete with Pulsar, RTR, etc if we compare it with them, young riders used to buy Pulsar and RTR instead of it because it seems a bit older than them. So, Yamaha can update this bike if they want to beat them.

Engine performance: Consists of a single-cylinder, four-stroke air-cooled engine where the company used two valves for it. SZ – RR V2.0 has possessed 149 displacement cc engine where the old version of it got a 153 cc engine. But the new version can produce higher maximum power 11.90 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and its maximum torque is 12.8 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Due to the fuel-efficient technology, it can not run more than 120 km per hour but considering the routes of Bangladesh, 120 km per hour is more than enough speed. The ignition system is CDI with a five-speed gearbox and a wet type multi-plate clutch.

Dimensions & seating position: The length, width, and height of the bike are 2050 mm * 760 mm * 1100 mm respectively where the seat height is completely standard with 800 mm. The wheelbase of the motorcycle is 1320 mm and ground clearance is 165 mm. The fuel tank can contain 14 liters. The seating position of the bike is very good and comfortable for all riders. Two pillions can easily ride on it.

Suspension & Brakes: The suspensions of Yamaha SZ – RR Version 2.0 is quite comfortable where on the front wheel telescopic suspension is used and for the rear wheel, Swing arm suspension has used. The bike is an almost simple and standard quality bike where riders and pillions used to get comfortable. However, as usual, like the rest Yamaha motorcycles, SZ – RR also has a good braking system along with front hydraulic brake and rear drum brake.

Mileage: The mileage of the bike is very good. Though it is a 150 cc motorcycle it can give almost 50 km mileage average where it would increase somewhat on the highway if maintaining proper speed. Among the same segment, only a few bikes can provide such handsome mileage.

Instrument Panel & Features: The complete digital instrument panel is the latest features of the bike which consists of speedometer, tachometer, clock, turn lamp and some others.

Colors & Price: According to the latest updates, the current price of the bike is BDT 185,000 which has four different colors are available in the market. They are Ivory White, Red Dash, Green Arrow, and Matt Green.
