Aprilia SR 150 Race Feature Review
Aprilia is the renowned motorcycle manufacturing company which is an Italian origin brand. Their products used to participate in every season of MotoGP competition since the beginning and their brand. Due to famous and expensive products, their bikes are not available in many countries including Bangladesh. But in the year of 2017, a product of Aprilia has launched in Bangladesh which is known as Aprilia RS4 125. This is the 125 cc product but still the most expensive bike in Bangladesh. But now they are launching Scooters of 125 and 150 segments.
The demand for scooters is increasing day by day. Because of comfort and economical. The Aprilia SR 150 Race is an entry-level Sports scooter from the Italian brand motorcycle company which is famous for its bikes like RSV4 or Tuono. This 150 cc scooter gets the same formula from its elder sibling Aprilia SR 150.
Design & looks: Aprilia SR 150 Race looks familiar to the previous SR 150 version. It looks sportier than the standard version. the metallic grey paint scheme inspired by the RS-GP motorbike. Small touches like front disc caliper finishing give sporty look as well. The body graphics are similar to the Aprilia’s MotoGP bike. The striking red five-spoke alloy wheels make it more attractive. The instrumental panel remains unchanged like a regular SR 150 version. LED tail lamp, unique looking wheels, stunning fairing twin headlight gives it a sporty look. One big stair seat is added on and It’s comfortable for rider and pillion both. Engine cowls design looks dynamic and sharp. This scooter has a large storage under the seat. The exhaust looks amazing with its heat protection muffler and can boost the engine’s power.
Engine performance: Aprilia doesn’t compromise with their powertrain. This is a sporty scooter and the word “Race” says it all. This two-wheeler scooter gets a 154.8 cc new generation displacement, four-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC- technology engine that will bumping up the performance and can deliver 10.4 BHP @ 6750 rpm maximum power and 11.4 NM @ 5000 rpm maximum torque. It can deliver a good acceleration rate and the engine is mated with a CVT automatic gearbox for better transmission. It can reach the top speed of 104 km/h.
Dimensions & seating position: However, the seat is not very generous with a pillion. The handlebar is adjusted with its body and it’s smooth and easy to control. The dimension of this scooter is quite good. This scooter has a standard height of 1166 mm, Width 703 mm and Length 1985 mm. It also has a good ground clearance of 160 mm and seat height is 775 mm. 1346 mm alloy wheels are used in this scooter. Tubeless tyres are used in both front and rear wheels. where font size is 120/70 – 14 and rear is 120/70 – 14. 122 kg lightweight will help to drive throw heavy traffic.
Suspension & Brakes: Hydraulic double telescopic fork with straight stanchions suspension is used for the front end and Hydraulic shock absorber for the rear. Single cradle structure in tubular steel with pressed reinforcements chassis is used in this scooter. It will provide a good balance and comfort. The stopping power comes from 220 mm brake disc served by ø 2×25.4 mm dual-piston floating caliper in front and 140 mm drum brake for the rear wheel. It will provide safety and better control of riding. According to the record, it can get it’s top speed 104 km/h.
Mileage: Mileage of Aprilia SR 150 Race is not sufficient. It can deliver only 35 km/L, which is a little bit low in its segment. But on the highway, the mileage is increased close to 40 km/L.
Instrument Panel & Features: Aprilia could improve the instrumental panel. the instrumental cluster is the same as Aprilia SR 150. The speedometer is analog and other features like odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, low oil indicator are also analog.
Colors & Price: The market price of Aprilia SR 150 race is BDT 2,89,200 according to the latest update. It has one color available which is a grey-red race edition.
