Hero Motocorp is the leading motorcycle brand in India. They grab the highest market share for their cost effective and durable motorcycle. They started their journey as Hero Honda motors LTD in 1984 as a joint venture company. Since then, they provide stylish and cost effective motorcycles. But in the year of December 2010, They both decided to go separate. Hero started their new journey with new logo and with the new name of Hero Motocorp. After the separation, they continued to provide stunning and durable motorcycles.

Hero Xtreme 200R launched with new shade and design. Hero made many changes in this two wheeler than its younger Xtreme sibling. Though its design and engine power changed but its dashboard remain same as Xtreme 150. The new engine met the BS IV compliant and the braking is improved with a standard single channel ABS. This motorcycle has to compete with Bajaj Pulsar 180, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V in the market.

Design & looks: This new version of Hero Xtreme didn’t get any costume or design similarities with its younger sibling Xtreme 150. This two wheeler comes with street art inspired dual tone body graphics. The fuel tank cowl shrouds are fully covered both side. one stair seat and pipe handle bar used rather than split and clip handle bar. The side body panels also gets same paint scheme. Dashboard remain the same as Xtreme Sports 150. The exhaust is long and looks like a commuter motorcycle. The headlamp upgraded with stylish look LED position lamp.

Engine performance: It not just only gets the changes in design but also get improved in engine powertrain and the engine displacement. This two wheeler powered by Single Cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-Valve, Single Spark, SOHC, Air cooled, 199.6 cc displacement engine which can generates 18.1 bhp bhp maximum power at 8000 rpm. This two wheeler also can produce 17.1 Nm torque at 6500 rpm. This bike launched with a compact engine performance as a street fighter. 5-speed gear box and wet multi-plate clutch is used for better and smooth transmission. For a decent acceleration rate, Xtreme can reach the top speed of 115 km/h.

Dimensions & seating position: Updated and well padded stair seat is added in its feature. These seats are comfortable for pillion and rider both. This seats are also promised to provide better performance in long journeys. The handlebar position is also comfortable and ergonomic for rider. 10 spoke alloy wheels are used where the wheelbase size is 1338 mm. This bike also comes with standard dimension. It gets the height of 1072 mm, width 778 mm, length 2062 mm, ground clearance of 168 mm and the saddle height of 795 mm. They were also make some changes in its tyre section. 100 / 80 x 17 and 130 / 70 x 17 sections tubeless tyres are used in this bike.

Suspension & Brakes: There are no changes in suspensions and its chassis. Its remain the same Telescopic Hydraulic Type suspension used in front wheel and Rectangular Swing Arm With 5 Step Adjustable Gas Reservoir Suspension is used in the rear wheel. This suspensions are promise to give better performance in long riding and even in off road. The braking section is upgraded with single channel ABS. The braking performance is powered by 276 mm Disc brake in the front and 220 mm disc brake in rear end.

Mileage: Though its a carburetor injection system engine but it can give a better mileage. Hero motocorp is well known for their fuel effective motorcycle. This 199.6 cc engine can deliver average mileage close to 40 km/l. But it can give 45 km/l mileage in highway and 35 km/l in off road/ cities.

Instrument Panel & Features: This bike gets the same instrumental panel like Hero Xtreme Sports and the features remain the same. This cluster comes with analogue tachometer along with digital speedometer, dual trip meter, odometer and a upgrade fuel gauge.

Colors: Hero Xtreme comes with 5 new color variant and new shades. Those are Sports Red, Sports Red and Black, Techno Blue, Panther Black with Force Silver and Heavy Grey with Orange.
