There are number of categories motorcycle are available in Bangladesh where 100cc bikes are very popular in the town. But, for rural people, people used to count the mileage than style and they are very fond of 50 to 80 cc bikes. Currently the usage of 50 cc is reduced and so, people are using 80 cc bikes. There are different brands 80 cc bikes are available in the country but most of them are from China and not reliable. In that case, Japanese top manufacturer Honda has a 80 cc bike in the country which is no doubt most reliable. It’s engine is powerful and can depend on it. Though, the products of Honda are less stylish but in Bangladesh, the rural people used to regard a motorcycle as Honda which has proved the huge popularity of Honda.

However, Honda CD80 is currently the lowest segment bike in Honda company in Bangladesh and it is also most popular in rural side of Bangladesh. Though, they know about the Honda and so, they used to keep it as their first choice. Besides, the price of CD80 is reasonable than any other products of Honda and it’s mileage is also satisfying. Though the bike is pretty small but comfortable no doubt. Let’s see below where we present Honda CD80 full specifications.

Design & looks: Honda CD80 is simple looking standard bike though it would fit older people good. It’s fuel tank is decent but seat is not comfortable but long enough. It’s classic spocket wheels are good and matching. However, headlamp and tail lamp are also old designed but compatible with the bike. The handlebar is well placed and comfortable for any types of riders. Overall, the bike is simple but has a strong reliable looks which could convince you.

Engine performance: Honda CD80 is made with most reliable engine in the segment. It is powered by 72 cc engine and it can generate 4.4 Bhp @ 6500 rpm max power and 5.16 Nm @ 5500 rpm. Though, it is 80 cc bike officially, but can make highest 80 km per hour speed. No electric starting system is included but only kick.

Dimensions & seating position: The bike Honda CD80 is pretty small than any standard category bikes which consists of 1885 mm long, 760 mm wide and 990 mm high. The wheelbase is also poor of 1206 mm with poor 136 mm ground clearance. Fuel tank is also pretty small but contains 8.5 litres of fuel. The weight is also few which is 82 kg and it is comparatively alright. Seating position is quite long but not so soft. Two people can ride on it at a time comfortably.

Suspension & Brakes: Suspensions of CD80 are powerful and effective where front one is telescopic and rear one twin spring loaded. The suspensions would help the riders to ride comfortably on rural road. However, the braking of the bike are not good enough. Both drum brakes are used for the bike but they should used front disc brake instead of drum brake at least.

Mileage: Average mileage of CD80 is 70 km reportedly which has encouraged the people to buy this Japanese machine. Rula or small town people used to find the bike that consists of better mileage. Honda CD80 will fulfill their all demands no doubt. Besides, buy a Honda bike would seems a great honor as well. However, the mileage of the bike CD80 would be almost 75 km on highway.

Instrument Panel & Features: The bike Honda CD80 has all analog instrument console which has brought a classic looks. Speedometer and tachometer both are analog designed. There is also fuel gauge. However, the handlebar consists of couple of switches included and there is also pillion grabrail on the behind of the seat.

Colors & Price: Only red color of Honda CD80 is available in the market which is the standard color of this small standard bike. However, the price of the machine is BDT 86,000.
