Honda CB Hornet 160R Feature Review
Honda is the oldest motorcycle company in the world which is originated in Japan. Now, it is regarded as the most reliable bike-producing brand in the world in which products are available in every corner in the world. Its price is also reasonable and so, mid-income people can afford Honda products. However, current some products of Honda are assembled in India but the main and valuable products are still assembled in Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia. Due to displacement cc limits by the government of Bangladesh, more than 155 cc bikes could not be imported in Bangladesh but recently, BRTA has increased the cc limits recently and according to BRTA, the highest 165 cc bikes are approved in the country. So, every available company in Bangladesh is planning to import more cc bikes. Honda is one of them and going to import a sports bike named Honda CB Hornet 160. CB Hornet 160 is one of the most attractive bikes and the young generation is completely crazy about it.
Honda CB Hornet is a naked edition standard bike but sometimes compared with a sports bike as well. It is the origin of Japan but assembled in India. Though it is regarded as the sports bike the cooling system is air instead of water. The details specifications of Honda CB Hornet 160R is given below.
Design & looks: Honda CB Hornet 160R has a complete street-fighter design. It has a muscular fuel tank with a standard and comfortable seat. The handlebar and mirror are well-designed. It has not engine guard which is alike with a standard bike. But the silencer pipe is stylish and small-sized. The headlamp is a full Honda style and the alloy wheel is unique in design. Overall, the bike seems very strong and would be the best-designed naked edition bike in Bangladesh.
Engine performance: Honda CB Hornet 160R has a powerful engine with actual 162.71 cc displacement. Engine can generate 15.04 @ 8500 rpm max power and 14.76 Nm @ 6500 rpm max torque. Though max power is not much and still there are plenty of 150 cc bikes that have possessed more than 15 Bhp max power. But, the attractive fact is it’s maxed torque. Due to good torque, it’s the acceleration is good which can make 0 to 100 in 16.3 seconds. The engine is SI and four-stroke.
Dimensions & seating position: The bike Honda CB Hornet 160 has a great sports dimension. The overall length is 2041 mm, width is 783 mm and height is 1067 mm. Besides, the bike has good ground clearance which would be good for Bangladeshi roads as well. Kerb weight of the bike is 140 kg which is compatible with the same segment. The fuel tank capacity is 12 liters. The seating position is standard and comfortable and not sporty split. So, two persons can ride easily but ride with two pillions would be hard.
Suspension & Brakes: Like most sports bikes, it has also mono shocks rear suspension and front suspension is telescopic. Besides, it has both front and rear hydraulic disc brakes. However, most of the cases, Honda bikes used to provide better brakes and better suspensions and for CB Hornet, it remains the same. The bikes are available in India and from there, no users can complain about the control and comfort of the bike.
Mileage: Mileage of the bike Honda CB Hornet 160R would be great by considering the same segment bikes. Its reported average mileage is 45 km which is pretty impressive. 45 km mileage for a 160 cc bike is more than expected but Honda used to provide it from the beginning.
Instrument Panel & Features: Honda CB Hornet 160R has a fully digital instrument panel. There are the digital speedometer and digital tachometer, trip meter, and odometer. Besides, there are a digital clock and fuel gauge are placed on the meter. Gear indicator and red limiter indicators are also added to the meter. Like all standard bikes, it has a pillion footrest, electric start, pillion grab rail, pass light, and engine kill switch.
Colors & Price: There are three different colors of Honda CB Hornet 160R available in Bangladesh those are Striking Green, Sports Red, Mars Orange and Athletic Blue Metallic. The Standard edition of this bike which has the CBS breaking with a double disc brake is cost 212,000/- (BDT).

I’m huge fan of Honda CB Hornet 160R because of best braking system and aggressive looks. I don’t see any aggressive motorcycle in this segment. Specially, Honda CB Hornet 160R Price in BD is within budget range. Only Hero Thriller is offering better feature in this price range. Suzuki Gixxer is just another good choice but Gixxer is not looks much muscular like the Hornet. Definitely, one of the best bike in Bangladesh within around 2 lakh taka price.

Suspension of this bike is very stiff. This bike is good for on road but off road condition ride experience is very worse. I didn’t get proper service from the showroom.

I’m so surprised that why Bangladesh Honda is discontinued the ABS version of Honda CB Hornet in Bangladesh. Though Honda CB Hornet 160R ABS Price in BD was more than 2 lakh 50 thousand taka but it should be reduced to compete with other brands like Suzuki and Yamaha. Don’t know why Honda is trying to down grade them and trying race with Indian brands. Honda CB Hornet 160R is not a bike to compare with Pulsar but it is actually a competitor of Gixxer and FZs. Honda should do something better in 180cc Hornet. Hopefully, Hornet 2.0 will be launched in Bangladesh soon with all advanced featured and Honda will start compete in this segment again. Honda CB Hornet is the most reasonable bike in 160cc category and the Price of Hornet is comparatively low than FZs and Gixxer. But Hornet should have FI system like other bikes. Hopefully Hornet 180 will come in Bangladesh very soon and I will buy one for me. Next Hornet 2.0 is much more sharp designed. Honda CB Hornet 160 Mileage, Top Speed, Price range etc everything is very good still now.

It was a good bike when it’s price was under 1 lakh 80 thousand in Bangladesh. CBS is not an enough feature for Hornet. It should be more advanced.
