Mahindra is almost the newest Indian two-wheeler brand in which products are currently available in Bangladesh. Basically, here in Bangladesh, people regard Indian products as reliable after Japanese brands where Bajaj and TVS from India are dominating the market of Bangladesh. Here comes the 4th opponent from India where Hero is in 3rd position. Mahindra launched its number of products in Bangladesh after revealing it in India. One of the most talkative Mahindra product is Mahindra Centuro.
Generally, in Bangladesh people would love to select Indian bike as their first choice and there is a number of Indian two-wheeler companies are available in Bangladesh where Bajaj is the number one and TVS is number two. They are dominating the market for long. But now, Mahindra has proved their quality and come to take their own place. They have also released a number of models in the market where Mahindra Centuro is one of the best.
Generally, Indian products have possessed a good and reliable engine but the bike Centuro has also some more attractive features. According to the company Mahindra, they stated that the bike has the latest anti-theft technology and so, the bike is impossible to steal. Centuro is an entry-level standard bike that consists of actual 106.7 cc displacement. In the market of Bangladesh, it would be the competitor of the rest same segment bikes especially Hero Passion Pro, TVS Metro Plus, TVS Sports ES, Honda Dream Neo, and some others. Design & looks: Mahindra Centuro has a completely unique design that is somewhat alike with Yamaha Saluto by considering the model of the fuel tank. The Centuro has different shades on the body with a standard tank. The wheels are alloy and completely black colored. Besides, it’s silencer pipe is also fully black. The headlamp is well designed and the pillion grabrail is also standard. The company Mahindra tried to give their best shot to Centuro and gives a premium entry-level look. Besides, the twin cast golden pipes are located below the fuel tank which does not fully match the overall looks.
Engine performance: Mahindra Centuro is officially 110 cc bike but its accurate displacement is 106.7 cc. The max power of the bike is not so much but consider which is 8.5 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and max torque is 8.5 Nm @ 5500 rpm. The engine consists of air-cooled, one cylinder and Mci – 5 included. The maximum speed of the bike Centuro is 100 km per hour reportedly.
Dimensions & seating position: Mahindra Centuro is a standard category bike and so it has a standard dimension. Just because of the low segment bike, it is a few small in size where the length of Centuro is 2031 mm, height is 1111 mm and width is 780 mm. This is not a racing bike and so wheelbase is limited to 1265 mm. The weight of the bike is a bit higher than the same 110 cc segment bikes which are 126 kg. Besides, the fuel tank is a bit larger that can contain 12.70 liters. Its seat is wide and comfortable where the highest three persons can ride. However, it’s speed is also great where it takes 0 to 60 mph in 8.85 seconds reportedly.
Suspension & Brakes: At the first edition of the bike Mahindra Centuro, both drum brakes are used for the bike where 130 mm drum in each wheel. But, in a recent edition, maybe front disc brake is used though they are yet to available in Bangladesh but hopefully soon will available. Besides, the telescopic hydraulic damped front suspension is used for the front wheel and five-step adjustable rear suspension which is coiled hydraulic damped. The suspensions are great in quality and ensure great comfort.
Mileage: Mahindra Centuro has good mileage reportedly. According to the users of the bike, it would provide an average 55 km mileage which makes its place in the market. Though, it’s competitors in Bangladesh also provides great mileage but the features of Mahindra is latest. So, day by day it’s demand will increase for sure. Though, some websites have claimed that it’s the mileage is more than 65 km average.
Instrument Panel & Features: There are two categories of the bike are available in Bangladesh where one with digital meter and the other one is an analog meter. However, the digital meter of the bike consists of a digital speedometer, analog tachometer, digital trip meter, and digital fuel gauge.
Colors & Price: The price of Mahindra Centuro with a digital meter is BDT 140,000 and the bike consists of Disc brake price is BDT 1,10,500. There are Red and Black are two colors of Mahindra Centuro that are available in the country.
