But most of them are not very well aware of bikes. But they certainly do want to know of every possible details of those heavy bikes. It is revealed in a news that, any of these bikes costs not any less than $2 million-$3 million per bike. And these bikes are only manufactured for racing in MotoGP events and these are not for sale. So, you can’t just go and grab a bike in some bike market. But, the fact is, most of the young people who love to ride bike nowadays want to posses a MotoGP or Super bike. So, they always try to be well informed about the costings of these bikes and their supplements.
COST OF MOTOGP BIKES:
The MotoGP racing bikes are specially prepared only for racing in MotoGP events and they are not permitted to ride on street casually or to get sold anywhere. These bikes get manufactured with very less restrictions, which make them much more flexible than a Super bike. Besides, the MotoGP bike constructors use latest technology. MotoGP constructors allow the some lightweight materials to which include carbon fiber, magnesium alloy to make the bikes. Moreover, each of the constructors team have different technologies to make their team bike more speedy and powerful day by day.
However, MotoGP racing competition is the largest motorbike racing competition all over the world. Best riders from the whole globe come here to ride and compete here with the others. Certainly, they will have to ride the best quality bikes throughout the tournament and they actually ride them. So, these bikes are to made with very rare bike parts which are very costly. A regular customer can change his front fork in 3,000-15,000 USD but to change front fork of Yamaha’s MotoGP bike is cost around 100,000 USD. The most rare and costly part of a bike is the engine which costs a minimum of $1,00,000 per bike. Honda costs the most for the engine, which is around $2,20,000 per bike.
Comparing with the general motorbikes, these racing bikes are way too heavy. So, a question always rises about the control of the bike. So, the manufacturers use light materials which make the bikes comparatively lighter, but the light materials are too much costly. So it plays role in the pricing if the Motogp bikes.
Except these things, there are some other factors which make the price of the MotoGP bikes sky-touching. One of them is the tire of the bikes. The tire of the MotoGP bikes are made with sticky rubbers which help the bike to grip well in the racing track. These type of tires have a short life span but they give their best in that short time.
However, considering this whole discussion it can be clearly observed that the MotoGP bikes are way too much expensive and it is no unfair that the price range of these bikes are from $2 million to $3 million.
COST OF SUPERBIKES:
There are a hell lot of differences between MotoGP and the super bikes. Anyone can get the super bikes from the market, but it is not possible to get a MotoGP bike, because it is banned to ride a MotoGP bike in the streets. Super bikes in least have 750 cc with four stroke and two cylinder engine. The minimum weight of the super bikes are 168 kg. The super bikes have so any restrictions in manufacturing, because these bikes are not only for use in the racing tracks, they are also used in the streets by the general people too. So, the super bikes are mostly made with the general features.
Whatever, These generalization of bikes have made the super bikes less costly than the MotoGP bikes. Generally, you can buy a super bike from $60,000 to $90,000, which is very much lower than the MotoGP bikes.
