Generic Cafe racer 165 Feature Review

A cafe racer is one of the popular bike categories in the motorcycle industry. It has a particular fan base all over the world. In Bangladesh, we don’t see many cafe racer bikes. But bikers have a craze for this bike category. Recently, some domestic and international motorcycle companies are started to launch cafe racer bikes in Bangladesh. Hope this amount will be increased day by day.

Speedoz LTD is one of the popular motorcycle importers in Bangladesh. Before they were the sole distributor of Keeway and Benelli in Bangladesh. But recently they started to launch Generic cafe racer 165cc bike. It looks like the Thai GPX Gentleman 200 motorcycle. But this bike equipped with a 164cc engine. We think this bike will full-fill the demands of the cafe racer lovers in Bangladesh.

Design & looks: Generic cafe racer basically gets the design concept from The Thai brand GPX. The Generic cafe racer almost looks like the GPX Gentleman 200. This bikes whole body gets metal finishing. Round headlamp and instrument panel holding its classic look. Aluminum pipe handlebar and front suspension have a silver color. Now, this bike is available with only two colors, that’s matte grey and glossy black. This bike doesn’t have much stickering on its body. But the paint scheme looks good. The engine cowl guard enhances its sporty look. Completely it’s a whole package of a sports cafe racer bike.

Engine performance: There is nothing much to say about its engine performance. This bike is new in Bangladesh. So it’s hard to tell about its actual engine performance. Though it’s the clone version of GPX Gentleman 200, but it didn’t get its engine. This motorcycle equipped with single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve, SOHC, 164 cc engine that can burn out 15 bhp maximum power at 8000 rpm and 14 Nm maximum torque at 6500 rpm. Its power delivery would be awesome as a café racer bike. 6-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch are used for better transmission. The top speed of this bike would be around 110-115 km/h (Approx).

Dimensions & seating position: Its flat one-piece handlebar would be comfortable to ride. Because it’s upraised and will be comfortable for the rider. Basically it comes with a pillion seat. But the pillion seat is covered by a plastic board. Whenever you want you can use it as a pillion seat. The overall seating position is comfortable for a rider. Let’s talk about its dimension. There is nothing much change at its dimension and it looks like a regular cafe racer bike but stronger and muscular. The overall length of this bike is 1986 mm, width 822 mm, height 1049 and seat height 800 mm. For the 179 mm ground clearance will give you confidence during rough roads. It can contain 14 liters of fuel. 

Suspension & Brakes: It’s a little bit surprising that this cafe racer bike coming with Up Side Down (USD) suspension in the front wheel. Though it’s not perfect for the road condition like ours but it looks premium. We usually see that cafe racer and off-road bikes launched with dual-shock suspension but this one gets a mono-shock suspension. Along with comfort, it will also give you a sporty posture. Disc brakes are used in both wheels. But the rear wheels disc is a little bit smaller. They used 100/80-17 section in front and 130/80-17 section tubeless tyre in the rear wheel.

Mileage: It’s hard to explain about its mileage. We think that it won’t deliver the expected mileage for its carburetor engine. It can provide almost 30-32 km/l at city ride and 35-38 km/l average mileage at the highway. 

Instrument Panel & Features: The instrument console of Generic Cafe racer is fully digital and rationalize with informative features. Along with tachometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, and it also comes with gear indicator. The console is brighter and easy to see.  

Colors & Price: This bike’s importer Speedoz LTD didn’t publish the price tag of this bike. But the price would be 204,999 BDT. There are three colors available of this bike those are Matte Grey and Glossy Black and Red.
