When a buyer wants to buy a naked sports two wheeler, he has several options to buy. Sometimes the same segment motorcycles have different features and it’s difficult to choose one out of many. In 160cc naked sports segment, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 gain some popularity among bikers. On the other hand, Honda launched XBlade 160 recently. Honda also have CB Hornet in this segment. But This motorcycle has now some different versions with FI and ABS. With this Honda might try to remove the previous Hornet 160 version and giving the market place to XBlade. Looks and Appearance
Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 and Honda XBlade both are stunning looking motorcycles in this naked sports segment. Bajaj did a great job with NS 160s design. Sculpted sharp fuel tank and well designed side panels give this bike a gorgeous appearance. Clip-on handlebar and up-raised pillion seat enhanced its sporty look. The halogen headlight unit makes it more aggressive. This bike is also available with some attractive color shades. on the counter, Honda XBlade comes with a new different look and design. Honda tries to make this bike supper aggressive and sharp. Honda uses the same diamond type chassis on this bike like CB Hornet. There are many different parts are fitted in its side panel.
Engine Performance and Braking
Pulsar NS 160 equipped wih a 160.3cc, SOHC 4-Valve, Oil Cooled, DTS-i Engine and can burn out 15.5 PS maximum power and 14.6 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The feedback of the engine performance is amazing. It can gain the top speed around 130 km/h. But this motorcycle is now also available in Fuel Injection version. But many user’s claim about its mileage. On the counter, Hond XBlade has a Single Cylinder, Air Cooled, Four Stroke, 162.71 engine which can produce 13.93 Bhp maximum power at 8500 rpm and 13.9 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm which is slightly lower than Pulsar NS 160. Though the top speed is slightly lower than NS 160 but XBlade can provide better mileage. Now the pulsar NS 160 is also available with a single channel ABS. Not only ABS, it has also a duel disc variant available in the market. On the other side, Honda XBlade is only available with single disc variant. So in the term of braking, Pulsar NS will be definitely ahead of XBlade.
Suspension and Mileage
Both motorcycle have Telescopic suspension in the front wheel. For the rough road conditions like Bangladesh, it’s more effective than a USD suspension. But if you compare between them, then Pulsar NS 160 will be slightly ahead for its excellent user review. As we always said mileage would not be an issue for a sports two-wheeler. XBlade can provide better and economical mileage than NS 160. Both bikes have almost the same market price if you consider the single-disc edition of both. It’s not that one motorcycle is good and one is bad. Both motorcycles are performance orient and well featured. You can choose any of them according to your budget and choice.
