Hero Xtreme Sports Review
Hero MotoCorp is currently producing different category bikes and used to launch them in all over the Indian subcontinent including Bangladesh. The current headquarter of the company in New Delhi, India which was started their company with Japanese Honda and named was Hero Honda and they started their journey in 1984. Later in 2011, Hero MotoCorp started to produce motorcycles with their own by leaving Honda. They changed the company name to Hero and revealed new variant.
Hero Xtreme Sports is regarded as one of the top product of Hero which was launched in India at the beginning of January, 2014 and later it launched into Bangladesh. Though, Hero made the bike by adding powerful engine but due to looks, young generations of Bangladesh does not take the bike as their first choice. However, it is still available in market but become the lower sold motorcycle. But, those who used to ride it once has the maximum chance to buy the bike for their own due to heavy powerful engine.
Design & looks: Hero Xtreme Sports has made with new cosmetic design and the designers are quite successful to give it a new looks. The bike consists of all new stylish head light along with LED rear light. Besides, the whole body is consisting of new graphics, mudguard and updated visor etc. However, the fuel tank is also well designed with nicely positioned handle bar. Most of all, the bike has possessed a complete new looks but though among same segment, it seems a little less wanted bike in Bangladesh.
Engine performance: Hero Xtreme Sports has still got the most powerful engine among the rest same segment motorcycle in Bangladesh with 15.62 Bhp @ 8500 rpm maximum power. The engine consists of 149.2 cc displacement capacity which is four stroke and single cylinder. Besides, the engine has OHC based air cooling system and the torque increase to maximum 13.5 Nm @ 7000 rpm. With five speed constant gearbox, the bike could easily cross 115 km per hour.
Dimensions & seating position: The bike has 2100 mm length, 780 mm width and height is 1080 mm with good ground clearance of 163 mm. The seating position of the bike is very good and comfortable where three people can easily ride on it. However, the bike is too heavy in weight which is 149 kg. Due to better weight, the bike can provide better comfort in top speed and riders would not feel any vibration.
Suspension & Brakes: The front suspension of the bike is telescopic hydraulic and the rear suspension is adjustable gas reservoir swing arm. The suspension of well and comfortable. However, the braking system of the bike is also good which consists of two disc brakes. But , single disc brake version is also available in the market. Due to dual hydraulic braking system, the riders can control the bike within short distance.
Mileage: The mileage of the bike is good by considering the rest same segment motorcycles. It can give almost 45 km mileage average while riding both city and highway.
Instrument Panel & Features: Except tachometer, rest features of the bike are digital. There are digital speedometer, trip meter and fuel gauge are also digital. Just tachometer is analog.
Colors & Price: The current price of single disc version is BDT 1,79,990 and double disc version is BDT 1,97,490. However, there are five colors of the bike is currently available in Bangladesh which are Fiery Red, Panther Black, Mercuric Silver, Pyro Orange and Black & Red.
