# Looks: First of all, we must consider the looks. The looks of Pulsar 160 NS is much more aggressive than Hornet 160R. Both are naked edition sports bike. Pulsar NS can be compared with Pulsar 150 AS. But there are some more things that added to NS. It has stylish fuel tank with aggressive unique designed headlamp. There is engine guard attached with small and stylish exhaust. The seat is splitted like top cc sports bike. It has stylish alloy wheels added with rear tyre mudguard attached to the bike. On the other side, Honda CB Hornet is a decent looking bike. It has stylish and all new shades added. The fuel tank is big and aggressive. The seat is not splitted but single plate. Rear tyre is wide just like FZs. It has also sharee guard added but there is no engine guard installed. Engine is fully naked. Considering the looks, Pulsar 160 NS seems slightly better than CB Hornet 160R.
# Engine Performance: Now comes to the engine fact. Considering the reliability, the Japanese product is much reliable than Indian. Bajaj engine can not be compared with Honda. But it does not mean that Bajaj engine is not reliable. In their product NS, it is powered by 160 cc engine that can release 15.5 PS max power and 14.6 Nm max torque. The engine is SOHC, four valve added, oil cooled and DTSi. It has five speed gearbox with wet multi disc clutch plate. On the other side, due to be a sports bike but CB Hornet has air cooled engine. It has four stroke and SI engine which is powered by 162.7 cc engine. It can create 15.04 Bhp max power and 14.76 Nm max torque. Both bikes have very good engine installed and they are also reliable in all sectors. But still considering this feature, we must keep ahead Honda CB Hornet 160R.
# Suspension & Brake: Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS and Honda CB Hornet 160R both are very reliable products from their company. They are now dominating the market. So, company has added much more upgraded features to their products. Now, we have come to their suspensions. Into NS, the front suspension is telescopic with anti friction bush and rear suspension is nitrox mono shock absorber with canister. On the other side, Honda CB Hornet 160R has front telescopic suspension and rear monoshock absorber is attached. In CB Hornet, company has used disc brake into front and rear. Front disc is 176 mm and rear disc is 220 mm. Each disc is triple pot nissin caliper. But from NS, there is only front hydraulic disc added which is 240 mm. The rear brake is 130 mm drum.
# Comfort & Control: Comfort in a bike mostly depend on it’s seating position. NS has splitted seat which looks so sporty but for pillion, it would be not so comfortable. But, as the single plate seat, CB Hornet has much more comfortable seat and would provide great comfort during long ride. Besides, it has wide rear tyres which makes the controlling better than NS. The rear tyre of NS is not wider but only 110 size. It should be more wider. The current size is ok for speed lovers. Due to narrow tyre, NS will provide good speed but controlling would be still questionable. It has only front dis where Hornet has rear disc brake as well. So, considering the controlling and comfort, we must keep ahead CB Hornet 160R no doubt.
# Fuel Consumption: Pulsar NS and CB Hornet both are made with advanced technology. So, they should provide great mileage at the end. But from some users we all know that Pulsar NS 160 would not provide good mileage. Reportedly the average mileage of the bike would be near about 40 km. In that case, CB Hornet is better than NS. Reportedly the average mileage of the bike Honda CB Hornet is 45 km. It should be remember that both are 160 cc sports bike. So, almost 40 km average mileage seems good.
# Top Speed: Pulsar 160 NS has narrow rear tyre. The engineers of the bike have revealed that due to narrow tyre, it would provide great speed. Reportedly the bike can give almost 130 kmph top speed or slightly more than that. The speed is good comparatively than CB Hornet. Hornet is also regarded as the sports bike but with fully decent looking. The bike is no good for speed. But however, it would provide almost 120 kmph top speed reportedly.
