Design & Build Quality
Both bikes get a bulkier fuel tank design which gives these bikes a muscular and aggressive look. From the exhaust to the front fender, both bikes look amazing. But FZs’s headlamp unit is a little bit more eye-catchy than CB Hornet. There is no glossy version of these two bikes. In the term of build quality, we see some complaints about Hornet, but Fzs V3’s build quality looks solid.
Engine Performance
As we can see, CB Hornet is a higher segment bike than FZs V3 and the engine displacement is also higher. The new version of CB Hornet is BSXI approved, for that the engine can produce slightly lower power than the previous version. This new version can churn out 14.9 bhp maximum power at 8500 rpm and 14.5 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. Where Yamaha is famous for its engine quality. We can hardly found any complaint about Yamaha’s engine. Though FZS V3 can produce only 13.2 PS maximum power at 8000 rpm but its power delivery is very smooth and steady.
Suspension and Tyre
Both bikes get the same Telescopic Fork suspension in the front wheel and Mono-shock swingarm suspension in the rear wheel. During the test ride, we found CB Hornets rear mono-shock suspension slightly hard. It didn’t provide the proper support you need during a ride. But FZs V3’s suspension gave us the proper feedback. FZs V3 and CB Hornet both get 140 section rear tyres and the rim diameter of 17 inches.
Braking and Comfort
In this category, both bikes perform really well. Both bikes equipped with a single-channel ABS braking system. FZs V3 gets Bybre caliper in the front disc brake and CB Hornet gets Nissin in the front disc. According to the bike expert, the Bybre caliper performs a little bit better than Nissin caliper. Both bike’s seating and the riding position is ergonomic and equipped with a single stair seat. Both handlebars are up-raised and easy to control. You won’t feel any pain or uncomfortable even in a city ride.
Mileage and Price
Yamaha FZs FI V3 gets an EFI engine where Honda CB Hornet still remains with Carburator fuel supply. Due to the EFI engine, FZs V3 can deliver average 45 km/l average mileage and for the Carburator engine, CB Hornet can 42 km/l which is a little bit lower than FZs V3. The current market price of FZs FI V3 is 240,500 BDT and CB Hornet’s 192,100 BDT.
