Honda is one of the market leaders in the motorcycle industry. This Japanese giant motorcycle brand ruling this industry for many years. Not only for the engine quality, but they are also famous for their bikes build in quality, durability, and design. Their high segments of motorcycles are highly popular all over the world. Their most popular higher segment bike series is CBR. They have 125 to 1000 cc segments CBR bike. But they also manufacture commuter segments bike and they are also famous at this.

Now Bangladesh Honda Private Ltd planning to launch the updated version of CB Shine. They made some changes in the new edition and tried to make it a premium commuter bike. Its look, build in quality, paint scheme and design look fresh and well decorate. With this motorcycle, Honda thinking to hold the commuter segment market in Bangladesh. So let’s take a look at this updated version and the new changes in this motorcycle.

Design & looks: In this new version of CB Shine, Honda makes some changes to the previous version. Fuel tank, seating position, grabrail and the exhaust taken from the previous version. But an extended kit is added in the front of the fuel tank. It looks sharp and sporty. There are also some changes to this standard commuter motorcycle. The side body panels look more eye-catchy. The trapezoidal new headlamp unit looks sharp and aggressive. The stylish headlamp is ensconced in an aerodynamic fairing with twin light nodes protruding on either side. Alloy wheels got a new design and look better than the previous version. The mirrors and rearview remain the same as previous CB Shine. There is also a huge difference in its paint scheme. This new edition got a fresh and stylish paint scheme and increased its look than the previous one.

Engine performance: There are no major changes in engine power. This premium commuter bike comes with the same air-cooled, single-cylinder, 124.73cc displacement SI engine which has the power to create 10.57 Bhp maximum power at 7500 rpm and 10.3 Nm torque at 5500 rpm. It seems like its one of the powerful commuter motorcycle in the 125cc segment. 52.4 and 57.8 mm bore and stroke show us how good acceleration this bike got. 5-speed gearbox mated with the engine for better transmission and help the bike for better acceleration. This commuter bike can reach the top speed of 102 km/h. 

Dimensions & seating position: Commuter bikes are made to provide better comfort and handling. This CB Shine SP designed with a better seating position and riding friendly handlebar. Honda tried to make it a premium quality commuter motorcycle. That’s why they make its seat wider, longer and rider-friendly. You will feel comfortable during riding. Its overall dimension is also standard. It came with a height of 1085 mm, width 762 mm, 2007 mm and a standard seating height of 800 mm. 1266 mm large wheelbase and 160mm ground clearance make it more standard. 80/100-18 and 80/100-18 sections Tubeless tyres are used in its front and rear wheel. The new alloy wheels look more gorgeous than before. 

Suspension & Brakes: Basically twin shock suspensions are used in all commuter motorcycles and it also not apart from that. Telescopic fork suspension holding the front wheel and Spring Loaded Hydraulic Type suspension providing comfort in the rear wheel. Diamond-type chassis is used in this bike for stability and better control. Nowadays, braking is one of the important parts of a motorcycle and Honda always provides a standard braking system. Its front wheel is guarded by disc brake and the rear wheel is guarded by 130 mm drum brake.

Mileage: This is the most important question about a commuter segment motorcycle. This Honda CB Shine SP will provide almost 62 km/L average mileage. It can also provide 65 km/L on the highway and 55 km/h in cities. For a 125cc motorcycle its enough.

Instrument Panel & Features: This update version got a new and well-designed part analog part digital instrumental panel. the speedometer is analog but the other features like a fuel gauge, trip meter, and clock are digital. You will also find a high beam, turn indicator switch on the instrumental panel.
