Honda Wave Alpha Review

As one of the 2nd world country, motorcycle is one of the most popular and most used vehicle. The people of the country use motorcycle as one of the necessary vehicle for their work. Due to traffic jam on the city road, use motorcycle to save times. So, excluding male riders, the females are also using two wheelers though most of them are using scooters.

Scooter is also a category of two wheeler which is getting popular in Bangladesh. Though, at the first time, male used it. But later, due to light weight, reasonable price and better mileage, females have started to use it for daily needs. Most of them use it for job, university or other works. And so, different reliable brands used to import different types of scooters with different facilities. However, here in Bangladesh, people used to regard Japanese brands as the top quality and next Indian brands. Honda is the oldest Japanese brands though most of the products of Honda are currently assembled in Bangladesh. Among some top quality Honda Scooter, Honda Wave Alpha is the one which is considerable good and used to provide better mileage.

Though, the scooter looks like somewhat backdated due to spoke wheels instead of alloy but rest features of the two wheelers are very good. It has almost stylish looks and lighter weight which why, females are very fond of it. Honda Wave Alpha full specifications are given below.

Design & looks: Honda Wave Alpha is a well designed and unique model scooter which has spoke wheel . Due to the exceptional wheels, it has become more attractive. The headlamp is new shaped along with the tail light. There is black color grabrail including standard handlebar. The rear view mirror is also standard. Besides, the seating position is not plain just like most of the scooters which is a bit higher and a little sporty looks.

Engine performance: Honda Wave Alpha is a 110 cc scooter but the real displacement is 109.16 cc. It consists of 4 – stroke, OHC and one cylinder engine which generates 5.2 kW @ 8000 rpm max power and 8.54 @ 5500 rpm max torque. Though, it is a scooter of 110 cc but can run with highest 80 km per hour reportedly. However, gears of the scooters are not automatic but four speed gearbox included like standard motorcycle.

Dimensions & seating position: The scooter Honda Wave Alpha is a standard category scooter which length is 1908 mm, width is 699 mm and height is 1070 mm. Considering the standard bike, the dimension is poor but by comparing the rest scooters, it is perfect. It is pretty lighter which is 94 kg with 3.7 litres capacity fuel tank. The seating position is comfortable but highest one pillion can ride on it. There is no space in front of the seat though.

Suspension & Brakes: Like most of the standard bikes, Honda used the same telescopic forks suspension for their front wheel and twin shocks suspension for their rear wheel. As a scooter, the suspensions are best in quality and ensure best comfort. On the other side, they have used both drum brakes for the scooter though in Bangladesh, one disc brake should use in every two wheeler due to higher traffic.

Mileage: The mileage of the scooter Wave Alpha is great. More than 75 km mileage on highway would be enough to feel the unlimited ride without fuel tension. However, on city, the mileage would not less than 65 km. So, considering this, average mileage would be at least 70 km.

Instrument Panel & Features: Fully analog but classic designed instrument panel is added to the scooter Wave Alpha where analog speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer and some other analog features are added.

Colors & Price: Black, Red, Orange and Silver colors of the Honda Wave Alpha are available in Bangladesh and the price in the country is BDT 135,000. The price is reasonable and it makes it one of the demanded scooter in Bangladesh.
