      Suzuki Gixxer SF (New) Feature Review

      Suzuki the famous Japanese motorcycle brand recently launched the new edition of Gixxer SF 155 in the Indian market but is yet to launch in Bangladesh. This motorcycle has already created a craze among motorcycle lovers. Though it’s a 155cc motorcycle it looks like a higher segments motorcycle. Gixxer is also the best-selling motorcycle series from the global brand Suzuki.

      Though this motorcycle got some new designs and features the engine power is slightly lower than the previous/present version. But this new edition got a fuel injection system that the previous version didn’t have. The standard single-channel ABS system is also added in its feature to improve its braking system. Its new fresh look will be attractive, to anyone. So let’s take a look at this motorcycle.

      Design & looks: The new Gixxer SF 155 comes with so many changes in features. The new edition will give you a fresh and more sporty look than the previous version. First of all, you will notice the change in its fairing. The new flat kit fairing looks sharp and aerodynamic and it’s also bigger than the previous one. The fuel tank looks more muscular and sculpted. They used split seats rather than stair single seats and its looks more sporty. The grabrail also got a sharp design. They also remove the pipe handlebar and install a clip-on handlebar. It will give you a sporty posture and sporty feel and also will help in smooth cornering. The headlamp unit is totally changing and used LED lights replacing halogen bulbs. From the front end, it looks more aggressive and aerodynamic. The instrumental panel’s design changed but it will provide the same information as the previous version. The tail lamp got a new LED light unit and the rear wheel got an additional mudguard. The exhaust design does look the same but it is customized with chrome finished.

      Engine performance: There are no major changes in its engine performance than the previous one. But Suzuki reduces .5 bhp engine power than old Gixxer SF. But we think you won’t feel it during the ride. The new version comes with Air cooled, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, 154.9 cc displacement engine which can churn out 14.1 bhp maximum power at 8000 rpm and 14 Nm torque at 6000 rpm. You won’t see any changes in its power delivery. It also comes with a 5-speed gearbox mated with the engine for better transmission. It can reach a top speed of 130 km/h.

      Dimensions & seating position: This new edition is a little bit bigger and heavier than the old one. It’s 6 kg heavy than the previous one and the new kerb weight is 146 kg. In the new dimension, it looks more aggressive and sharp. This time Suzuki used a clip-on handlebar rather than a pipe handlebar. It looks ergonomic and sporty. They also change their seating position. Split seat installed for better look and comfort. Seating height is 800 mm and ground clearance 165 mm which is also increased than the older version. Other dimensions remain the same which are 2050 mm in length, 785 mm in width, and 1085 mm in height. 100/80 – 17 – Tubeless and 140/60R – 17 – Radial Tubeless sections tyre are used in front and rear wheel. 

      Suspension & Brakes: Suzuki also changes its front suspension. This time they have used twin-muffler stiffer front Telescopic, Coil spring, and Oil damped suspension which would be more performance orient than the previous one. The rear suspension remains the same as the previous version which is Swing Arm Type, Mono Suspension. Single Downtube type suspension is used for better stability and durability. Suzuki improved its braking system with standard single-channel ABS. But the disc size remains the same as the old version. 

      Mileage: For better mileage, Suzuki launched it only with a Fuel Injection fuel supply system. FI engines are more cost and fuel-effective. The new Gixxer SF 155 can provide 47 km/L average mileage which is impressive. On the highway, it will be 50 km/l and in cities 38 km/L.

      Instrument Panel & Features: They also change their instrumental console. It got a new and brighter instrumental panel but the information will remain the same. This new console featured with tachometer, speedometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, clock, ABS light, and more useful gadgets.

      Colors & Price: Suzuki Gixxer SF 2020 edition is officially launched by Rancon motorbikes Ltd. in Bangladesh. The price of the Carb-disk version is 297,950/- and the Fi version price is 319,950/-. No special price tag for the MotoGP edition as in the previous edition. You can buy MotoGP edition Gixxer SF at the same price. The new Gixxer SF 155 only got two color shades which are Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Sonic Silver.

        The new Suzuki Gixxer SF FI ABS is a fantastic looking bike though the this is not enough powerful. Better than FZs but Suzuki was specially good for speed which isn’t not available in this bike.
