Suzuki GSX 125R Feature Review
Suzuki is considered one of the two leading motorcycle manufacturers in Japan as well as one of the best manufacturers in the world. Their products are currently available in most countries and they are popular everywhere no doubt. The most important reason for their huge popularity is the reasonable price. Though the company is the origin of Japan they have kept their price lower. In Bangladesh, the people stills regard Suzuki as the top brand and they would love to buy their products.
Suzuki GSX 125R is a standard commuter motorcycle from this Japanese brand. Though this motorcycle didn’t launch in India yet. But Suzuki launched this motorcycle in North America and the North Asian region. This motorcycle comes with Suzuki’s famous GSX tagline. We hope this one will also be performance orient like the other GSX series motorcycles.
Design & looks: There is nothing much extra-ordinary in this bike in the term of design. It gets the simple commuter look like other commuter bikes. But its small front extension kit increased its look a little bit. Suzuki didn’t do much stickering on this bike. The headlight unit is a halogen bulb and the dashboard is nicely designed and mounted over the headlight. There is also an additional pillion grabrail available for the pillion and for carrying luggage. The side panels and alloy rims look good with this bike’s design.
Engine performance: This motorcycle has a decent engine performance as a 125cc commuter bike. This commuter bike is equipped with a single-cylinder, four-stroke, two-valve, OHC, 124cc engine that can produce 11.8 bhp maximum power at 9500 rpm and 8.3 Nm of torque at 7500 rpm. A 5-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch are used for smooth transmission. This bike would provide the average mileage close to 50 km/l and the top speed would 110 km/h.
Dimensions & seating position: Suzuki used a single stair seat and up-right handlebar for the comfortable city and highway ride. The seat’s cushion is soft. This bike would be a nice choice for the city ride because of the ergonomic seating position, low turning radius and also for the mileage. This looks standard in dimensionally. The overall length of this bike is 1990 mm, width 755 mm, height 1075 mm and the seat height is 750 mm. But its ground clearance is around 167 mm only and can create problems during speed breaker and rural areas. The kerb weight of this bike is 126 kg and can contain of 14.2 litres of fuel.
Suspension & Brakes: This bike is only available with a single-disc version only. The front-wheel equipped with a disc brake with a Nissin caliper which can provide better performance. The rear brake set-up is a drum. There is no ABS/CBS braking system on this bike. Telescopic fork suspension is used in the front wheel and a swingarm dual-shock suspension in the rear wheel. Dual-shock suspension is a better option for a commuter bike and can provide better performance.
Mileage: For a commuter bike mileage is a big issue. Though this bike gets a carburetor engine but can provide 50 km/l average mileage. This mileage would increase in the highway riding and will reduce in the city ride.
Instrument Panel & Features: The instrument panel is fully analog. The dashboard is divided into two parts. One is for speedometer and trip meter and another is for tachometer. You will also get features like a fuel gauge, turning indicator, etc.
Colors & Price: This bike price in Bangladesh is 141,950. There are three colors are available. Those are Black, Red and Blue
