Suzuki Hayate EP Overall Review
Suzuki is one of the top three Japanese two-wheeler manufacturing brands as well as one of the best brands in the world which used to launch a number of new models of the bike every year. Their products are available in many countries and for a reasonable price range, they are very popular throughout the world. Due to the cc limits, their top quality products are not released in Bangladesh but within 150cc displacement, some quality products are available in the country. Just a couple of years ago, they have revealed a number of new products in Bangladesh where Suzuki Hayate is one of the best.
After launching the regular edition, Suzuki also brings some new editions of Hayate. At the beginning of 2019, Suzuki launched the first special edition of this bike. But the new version of this bike Hayate SP launched at the end of 2019. This edition was launched in India a few years ago. So, it’s hard to tell about the success of this bike. So let’s check out what changes Suzuki made on this bike.
Design & looks: The main change Suzuki made on this bike is in its design and paint scheme. The fuel tank is pretty much bigger than the previous version. The side panel of this bike gets a slightly sharp and edgy design. The main difference between these two bikes is their paint scheme. This new EP version gets some attractive and eye-catchy color and paint. The fuel tank comes with glossy paint along with the Suzuki logo. Apart from these changes, there is nothing much to mention.
Engine performance: This new edition comes with the same engine power as the previous one. Its equipped with a single-cylinder, four-stroke, 2 valves, SOHC, 113cc displacement engine, and an air-cooled system used to cool down the engine. This engine can produce 8.58 bhp maximum power at 7500 rpm and 9.3 Nm maximum torque at 5000 rpm. This output is almost similar to some 125cc motorcycles. Suzuki used a 4-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch for smooth transmission.
Dimensions & seating position: There is nothing change in its dimension measurement. This new version launched with the same length, width, height, seat height, and ground clearance. But the EP version is 5 kg lighter than regular Hayate. Now its kurb weight is 107 kg and the regular one has 112 kg. The riding position also remains ergonomic. Basically, all commuter bikes are designed to provide comfort during the ride.
Suspension & Brakes: The suspensions of the bike are very good which provides proper comfort to the riders and pillions. The front suspension of the bike is telescopic and coil spring and the rear suspension of the bike is swingarm and coil spring. Though most of the latest 100 cc bikes are consisting of a disc and drum braking combinations in Suzuki Hayate, just drum brakes are used for both parts. In front and rear wheel, mechanical leading trailing type drum brakes are used. The brakes are good enough but customers used to expect a better braking system and recently the usage of disc brakes has increased and so, Suzuki should use at least the front disc brake for the Hayate model.
Mileage: The mileage of the bike is the most important and impressive fact. It has become popular for great mileage. But this version will provide slightly less mileage than the regular version. But it is also reasonable.
Instrument Panel & Features: Though most of the features of the bike are completely the latest instrument console the bike is analog. The speedometer and trip meter are analog as well as fuel gauge is analog.
Colors & Price: There are three colors of this bike available in Bangladesh. Those are Pearl Mira Red, Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Grey. The current market price of this bike is 118,000 BDT.

এই বাইকটি সম্পূর্ণই একটি নষ্ট বাইক, এটি আমার জীবনে দেখা সবচেয়ে বাজে বাইক এটি কেনার জন্য মাত্র তিন মাস, এই বাইকটি মাত্র 30 kmpl মাইলেজ দিচ্ছে আমি এই সমস্যার সমাধান করতে 3 বার সার্ভিস সেন্টারে গিয়েছি কিন্তু এখনও কোন সমাধান নেই এই বাইকটির গিয়ার শিফ্ট সম্পূর্ণভাবে একটি অপচয়, এটি এই সুজুকির সাথে সবচেয়ে খারাপ অভিজ্ঞতা নয় আমার পরামর্শ- এই বাইকটি কখনই কিনবেন না।
