The motorcycle market in Bangladesh expanded more than double in recent years. To full fill the customer demands many local importers are now becoming the sole distributor of foreign motorcycle companies. Those who are financially large they trying to import famous and well-known brands of motorcycles. But those who are financially don’t capable much are importing some Chinese but standard quality products in Bangladesh. And the last addition on this list is Zontes. Rasel Industries who are the distributor of Lifan motorcycles in Bangladesh are now importing Zontes motorcycles in Bangladesh. Lifan motorcycles are successful because of the look and engine performance and hoping this brand would also get success like Lifan.

Zontes Motors new to the motorcycle industry and established in 2003 in China. Zontes is one of the brands of Guangdong Tayo Motorcycle Technology Co., Ltd. engaged in the operation of motorcycles of large and medium discharge capacity and mini cars. They work differently than other motorcycle companies available in China. They produce almost 90% of their parts of motorcycles in their own manufacturing plant. Though it’s a China origin brand but they always maintain the quality and performance of their products. They have already done their business in the Southeast Asia region, Europe, and also in the USA. But we are not sure that how their motorcycles will perform in Bangladesh.

Design and Look: If you consider the design of this naked sports bike then it almost looks like Benelli 165s. The seats, sculpted fuel tank and side panels are look like Benelli 165s. But other parts like the swingarm, headlight unit, handlebar, mirrors design look unique and attractive. The headlight unit is totally different from other available motorcycles in Bangladesh. It divided into two parts which are LED and will remind you of the Transformer movie. The underbelly exhaust mounted just underneath the swingarm which is pretty unique and often sees at the higher segment motorcycles.  An engine cowl is also equipped for a sporty look and handsome appearance. The mirrors also look premium and enhance the look of this naked fighter.

Engine Performance: This is going to be one of the powerful naked sports motorcycle after the Yamaha MT-15. Zontes added a powerful liquid-cooled engine, two riding modes and a slipper clutch which we wouldn’t see at many motorcycles in Bangladesh. It gets a Single-cylinder, Liquid-cooled, fuel injection, SOHC, 4-Stroke, 155 cc engine that can produce 18.8 bhp maximum power at 9000 rpm and 16 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. For better transmission, they added a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. The slipper clutch helps to get proper transmission at any speed. The top speed of this bike would be around 135 km/h.

Dimension and Seating Position: The dimension of this naked streetfighter looks standard but it may uncomfortable for the tall riders over 5 feet 8 inches which we saw in Benelly 165s. But an average size rider can easily maneuver this bike. The handlebar is single-piece and mounted two knuckle guards on it. The seating and riding position may also comfortable for an average size rider but would uncomfortable for a tall rider and may cause back pain and shoulder pain. The overall height of this bike is 1070 mm, width 856 mm, length 1980 mm, seat height 785 mm and wheelbase size is 1390 mm. It also has a high ground clearance of 185 mm which is pretty helpful for our road condition.

Suspension and Braking: Zontes installed a High-tensile steel frame in this bike for better stability and also lightweight. It gets a USD fork suspension in the front wheel and endless adjustable Gas Charged Mono-Shock suspension in the rear wheel. The most amazing feature of this bike is its dual-channel Bosch ABS braking system. Bosch is a famous brand for motorcycle accessories in the world and their product quality and performance are just amazing. So there will be no question about the braking performance of this bike. It gets a 110/70-17 section tyre in the front and a 130/70-17 section tyre in the rear wheel.

Mileage: Zontes claims that this bike can provide almost 45 km/l average mileage. But due to the fuel quality and road condition, it may provide 40 km/l mileage. The mileage will increase on the highway and decrease in the city ride.
