The Italian brand Aprilia is a well-known two-wheeler manufacturer company in the world. This motorcycle company was established in 1945. They also participate in MotoGP and are famous for their premium quality bikes. Runner Automobiles ltd now imports Aprilia’s all models in Bangladesh.

Aprilia launched the Terra 150 motorcycle in Bangladesh. Basically, this one is a dual-purpose motorcycle. We don’t see many off-road and dual-purpose motorcycles in Bangladesh. So it’s going to be a good choice for bikers who loves adventure and long ride. This bike now has to compete with Yamaha XTZ and Kawasaki KLX 150. There are two versions of this bike, one is standard and another one is an adventure. But the standard version will be available in Bangladesh.

Design & looks: Touring and dual-purpose bike designs are almost the same. Up-raised handlebars, large stair seat, extended front fender, upper mounted exhaust, and flexible swingarm are common on a dual-purpose bike. Aprilia Terra 150 looks bulkier. This bike gets Terra and Aprilia branding stickering on its fuel tank. A carrier is also mounted on the rear part to carry luggage and weight. The chrome-finished exhaust is just located under the pillion seat.

Engine performance: Aprilia GPR 150 and Terra 150 get the same engine displacement and power. This touring bike is equipped with a single-cylinder, four-stroke, Liquid-cooled, DOHC, 149.2cc engine that can produce 18 bhp maximum power at 9750 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 7500 rpm. Aprilia uses the Fuel Injection system on this bike. For that, it would ensure the proper use of fuel and also will deliver handsome mileage. For the smooth transmission, they installed a 6-speed gearbox and a wet multi-plate clutch. The top speed would be around 110-115 km/h.

Dimensions & seating position: The seating position is the most important part of a touring/dual-purpose motorcycle. The handlebar of this bike is well up-raised. The single-stair seat is well-cushioned and large. There won’t be any problem for the pillion also. Basically, dual-purpose bikes are dimensionally larger than standard bikes. The overall length of this bike is 2130 mm, width 790 mm, height 1245 mm, and the wheelbase size is 1425 mm. Its 180 mm ground clearance and 120 kg lightweight will allow you to ride in any type of road condition.  

Suspension & Brakes: Aprilia used Telescopic fork suspension in the front wheel which is better and for the rear wheel, a swingarm with mono-shock suspension is used. The suspension is very sporty and due to mono-shock, the bike would steady during top speed. You will also get better stability on the hill and off-road trucks. There is no CBS/ABS braking system on this bike. The front and rear wheels are equipped with disc brakes. There is a difference in the rim size. The front tyre gets a 100/90-18 section tube tyre and the rear wheel gets a 130/80-17 section tube tire. 

Mileage: It’s hard to get satisfying mileage on a dual-purpose motorcycle. But due to the fuel injection system, this bike can deliver almost 35 km/l mileage on the city ride. But the average mileage would be around 40 km/l. 

Instrument Panel & Features: The instrument panel of this bike is semi-digital. They tried to give it a classic look. The Tachometer is analog, but the other features like the speedometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, and gear indicator are digital.
