Design and Build quality: In the term of design, it’s hard to get a winner between these two bikes. Both bikes get an eye-catchy and attractive design. FKM StreetFighter’s Headlight design is inspired by the higher segment bike Kawasaki Z1000 and Benelli 165s just look like KTM Duke 390. Apart from the headlight, the front extension kit, muscular fuel tank, exhaust, side panels are also looking good. But Benelli 165s have better build quality than StreetFighter. The longevity and durability of Benelli 165s will provide long term service.
Engine Performance: Both are the highest segments bike in Bangladesh. But Benelli 165s can deliver the highest engine power in the 165 cc segment. On the other hand, FKM Streetfighter also gets a performance orient engine that can produce 15 bhp maximum power at 8500 rpm and 14.5 Nm of torque at 7500 rpm. Where Benelli 165s can 18 bhp maximum power at 9500 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. During test ride, we got 122 km/h top speed of FKM StreetFighter and 138 km/h of Benelli 165s. If we compare these bikes engine, then we would say Benelli 165s. Because of the engine power delivery, acceleration is just amazing and the engine is also well-tuned. It also gets 4-valve and triple ignition.
Suspension and Comfort: Both bikes get USD suspensions in the front wheel and Mono-shock suspension in the rear. In this category, FKM StreetFighter will slightly behind than Benelli 165s. Because the rear suspension of FKM feels a little bit hard and doesn’t provide enough support. But Benelli 165s’s both suspensions provide the comfort and balance you need during a ride. But Benelli 165s is a little bit smaller in dimension than StreetFighter. Tall riders might feel uncomfortable during a long ride.
Braking and Control: Braking is one of the important section of a sports bike and we amazed by both the bike’s braking system. Both front and rear brakes work fantastic. Both equipped with dual-disc brake and a CBS braking system. During high speed, both bikes provided us the confidence in braking. None of the bike skid.
Tyre and Wheel: Benelli 165s and FKM StreetFigher both have 100 section tubeless tyre in the front wheel where the diameter of the wheel is 17 inch. But the rear wheel gets different tyre section. Benelli 165s get 130 section tubeless tyre and StreetFighter gets 140 section tubeless tyre in the rear wheel. But both bikes have cordial tyres in their wheels. Cordial tyres can’t provide proper grip in the wet surface.
Resale Value: Bikes re-sale value depends on its brand origin, reliability, and parts availability. In this condition, FKM is a brand new motorcycle manufacturer and their parts are also not available in the market. So you won’t get expected resale value from it. On the other hand, Benelli is a well known Italian company. They are doing business from over one hundred years. So definitely you will get better resale value for Benelli 165s.
Mileage and Price: The most positive thing about these two bikes is both equipped with Fuel Injection system and both can provide a handsome average mileage close to 40 km/l. It will be more in the highway riding. The current market price of Benelli 165s is 225,000 BDT and FKM StreetFighter cost 189,900 BDT.
