There are some Italian brand bikes are currently available in Bangladesh and most of the sames they are sports category bike. One of Italian renowned brand Benelli has recently introduced one of their naked sports bike in Bangladesh named TNT 150. Since few days, the bike is available in market. Basically the brand is the origin of Italy but the bike TNT 150 is assembled in China. So, sometimes it can be considered as the Chinese bike as well. Today we would like to compare the bike with an Indian top rated naked sports bike named TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. The bike of TVS yet to available in Bangladesh but hopefully will launch soon. # Looks: Benelli TNT 150 is a very attractive looking sports bike which is fully naked. It has very aggressive and sharp front end with eye catchy fuel tank. The design of the bike can be compared with Race Fiero 150 or Goodwheel Avatar G1. It has stylish and splitted seat where the rear position is much higher. There are fairings that attached to the fuel tank makes the looks more attractive but the engine is fully naked where there are no engine guard or sareer guard attached to the bike. On the other side, RTR has also very sharp and stylish looking with eye catchy fuel tank. The design is fully changed than older version of RTR. Colors are fully solid and sharp engine guard along with aggressive front end. Company has brought change on the headlamp which is much more attractive now. Overall, both bikes are very stylish but personally I have weakness on RTR and so, I would keep ahead RTR 160 4V.
# Engine Performance: Benelli TNT is a 150 cc bike which consists of four stroke and two valve engine. The engine of the bike can produce 14 Bhp max power nad 13.4 Bhp max torque. It has not air cooled but liquid cooled engine attached. Consists of five speed gearbox and wet multiplate clutch added into it. RTR also has one cylinder and four stroke engine. The new version of RTR has 160 cc engine which has also five speed gearbox. Consists of 16.28 Bhp max power and 14.8 NM max torque the bike is more powerful than older version as well as Benelli TNT considering the engine power. It has both kick and self starting system added where TNT has only electric starting system.
# Suspension & Brake: As one of the Italian brand product, Benelli TNT 150 has very updated parts added. There are front telescopic forks and rear monocross suspension added. Besides, the braking system of the bikes are also good. It has front and rear hydraulic disc brakes added. Front brake is 260 mm and rear brake is 240 mm disc. On the other side, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is available in India with number of different braking versions. Generally, it has front 270 mm hydraulic disc and rear brake is 130 mm drum. But there is another version where rear disc brake added. Besides, the front suspension of the bike is also telescopic forks and rear suspension is monoshock.
# Comfort & Control: If we consider the comfort of a bike, we must see their seating position. Benelli TNT 150 has very higher rear seat and the seat is not single plated but splitted. Due to splitted and higher rear seat, for female pillion it would be less comfortable. On the other side, RTR 160 4V has single plated seat where rear end is also same as front. So, for both male and female it would be more comfortable than Benelli TNT. Here comes to the controlling. No offense, dual hydraulic disc brake would provide better controlling to the riders. In that case, those who loves rear drum brake can go for RTR and those who loves dual disc brake can also go for RTR 160 4V dual disc braking version. In that case, TVS has updated their product considering the demand of the people. Obviously due to dual disc brake, Benelli TNT would provide better controlling.
# Fuel Consumption: Benelli TNT 150 is assembled in China and we all know that Chinese products are not giving satisfying mileage. Besides, it has no BS4 approved engine and so, the bike is not much fuel efficient. The average mileage of the bike is 40 km reportedly. On the other side, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V would provide more than 45 km mileage reportedly. It has very updated and BS4 approved engine. Fuel efficiency is very important fact nowadays. Most of the Chinese bikes are not getting expected market because of their low quality mileage. In that case, Indian bikes are very good.
# Top Speed: If we consider the top speed. We must keep ahead Apache RTR 160 4V no doubt. TVS Apache RTR 160 4V would provide more than 140 kmph top speed. In that case, benelli TNT 150 is also good for speed. But not the best as RTR. Reportedly Benelli TNT 150 would give more than 120 kmph top speed.
# Price: Price is one of the main fact in Bangladesh. Most of the people in Bangladesh have not ability to spend much for the bikes. So, reasonable price is very important for the people of the country. Benelli has kept the price of their product lower. The current price of Benelli TNT 150 is BDT 179,900 only. On the other hand, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V yet to available in Bangladesh. But hopefully Indian company TVS would keep their product price within range.
